We can now look forward to trips to Blyth Spartans, Southport, North Ferriby, Spennymoor and York next term Worcester, Alti and Stalybridge relegated out of our division - so we don't go there Another tough division me thinks
But most importantly - who do we keep and who do you think should be released?

I know this is quite an annoying answer, but I think we should keep any players Jim wants to keep, and get rid of any players Jim wants to get rid of. I've just had a quick look at YB, and some of the cobblers people post on there is hilarious. Jim knows more about the game, the individual players and the nuances of tactics than all of the fans put together.
I'm excited about next year because I think Jim has a track record of making progress each season. Keep the faith!

Not least Davewhoonceorganisedamarch - he's appeared after the final whistle like the troll under the bridge. I totally agree with your comment, mate - Jim knows best and I have 100% faith in him to get us back where we belong.

Other than the glaringly obvious we need strikers, I wonder what the chances of keeping Danny are. He would probably need to sign for a league one club to get wages to make him go full time. Best of luck to him
And of course in Jim we trust. Perhaps someone who can remember could add the names of the players already signed up for next season are.

Hinchliffe, Minihan, Hampson, Duxbury, Clarke, Montrose, Winter and Ball have all signed up, I believe. 3 of those 8 didn't have a pre-season with us. Hopefully that group becomes even more solid next time out and the 'standard' becomes Minihan and Montrose - where players can put in a 7 or 8 every single game. At the same time, I appreciate it's not easy to ask that of semi-pros who work as well which is why the strength in depth to keep things fresh is so important.
Of the current outfielders, I would guess 4 or 5 more could get offered something. However, the focus has to be on acquiring the quality through the attacking positions to get goals. Not only did we not score enough but, as the season progressed, we seemed less likely to break teams down in open-play. I don't think it's too far fetched to suggest that a strong GK/back4/Montrose and Winter should make us extremely hard to beat but that we need 4 players that we can say "Go win the game" to... and actually have the belief they can due to their records. Even for all the good defensive work, it is limiting to not have the option to play higher against pace through the middle. That fear and the dropping brings teams to our 18-yard box and we've seen too many shot/goal concessions when we would otherwise have been able to compete up the pitch. So some pace as an option at CB would further strengthen. In essence, the 'issues' have already been mentioned by JG after games which is why I think the focus will be to remedy those areas.
Overall, the squad fell short and it wasn't a lack of commitment or spirit. Ross should take a lot of credit for that as well, of course, as JG for his assembling of a good bunch.

Hopefully we can keep the main thrusBt of the team together, Keepers - no issue - keep both Hinchcliffe and Ormson I think the back is reasonably strong, as is midfield, but would like a couple more players who could beef it up and not just be squad players - be especially good to keep Mr Lloyd and now York have been relegated could we get Felix on a permanent deal - he seems to have enjoyed his stay with us (but would he go part time - I doubt it) Upfront is a whole new ball game as I'm not sure who will still be here next term: Big K - done a really solid job for us, but he is getting on a bit, but there are players out there at this level i.e. Jon Macken who is still performing well, so maybe we might get another season out of him. Amis - bags of potential. always said he just needs to get a goal to kick start his season, but did it really happen for him? I think not. Sefton - personally not been impressed. I think at least two will be released.
The fantastic crowds we are achieving are something to continue to build on, for most away trips we almost double the crowd, and all the chairman in our league will want us to stay down purely on financial matters - 972 fans to Bradford - its like having a 22nd home game for Bradford with little more expenses than normal.
Personally we've had a great season, a slight improvement in the team i.e. scoring goals (where would have been without Mr Lloyd?) and then we should be challenging for top spot
In Sir Jim I trust - he knows more about football than I do

I'm really disappointed in Dave. I used to know him quite well and had a lot of respect for him, but now he just seems bitter that he's not the hero anymore, and that the people he helped bring in (while arguably saving the club from extinction) made a royal f**k up of it at times.
He's still living on past glories (on which, it's probably time to change his moniker over there. You don't see me referring to myself as Sandy-Hike-Org, or Maccy as Maccy-Official-Tweeter) and needs to get behind the current regime, even if he doesn't agree with some elements of it. I seem to recall Steve Cree being big enough to admit he didn't see eye-to-eye with Gannon but put his personal differences to one side for the good of the club, didn't he?
If you can't go to EP because you live too far away, have other commitments, or for financial reasons, but you're behind the club each game, then that still makes you as much of a fan as those who go to the games.
If, however, you deliberately stay away because of your personal views of those in charge, or because of where we currently are in the league, then, sorry, but your opinion means sh*t.

I'm curious as to what deals Jim has already lined up for next season. As has already been said he knows what's needed to get us out of the division.
For me the following will do and put simply -
* players who will give 100% and are proud to wear and fight for the shirt * players who have the creative flair * players who will run at the opposition * poachers who have the ability to latch on to crosses and put them away. * fans who get behind their team and don't slag them off publicly
