All over. Well done - and fare well - Halifax.

A bad one to lose, would have much preferred Kidderminster get promoted.
Halifax is a great away day!

Agreed, Fudgie. But in footballing terms, and given the choice between today's finalists, I feel pleased with that outcome - not only for Halifax (as a former League, and 'proper', club), but also for us! Definitely up there among the strongest teams we faced last season, so it will be good not to have to do so again next term.

Oh - and good news on purely selfish grounds, too. The Shay's wi-fi reception is utterly diabolical!

Hopefully, Darlington may not be the threat they were this season. Gray wanted investment, the potential investor (former chairman) he sought it from is not liked by the fans so once public the abuse started. Investor's now withdrawn his offer to invest and Gray is apparently considering his future. Can't be a good scenario for trying to keep and attract players.
As for Halifax going up, at least that removes the stronger side (of them and Chorley). Since a number of this year's squad seems to have at least a year to run on their deals (inc. Denton), I imagine they'll stay P/T or go 'hybrid'?

Sadly I can see only a downward motion for Darlo now. I hope I'm wrong for their sake but the club seems to have entered silly season!

just to buck the trend, i hope you're not wrong about darlo. i would like them to be safe from financial trouble but as uncompetitive as possible on the pitch. we're still too nice in this division. sod the rest of them, i want upward movement from county, and it's a tough division to get out of. if they've chased off their investor - and that might be the right thing to have done, i dunno - then their fans have led this action themselves.

So, we have (I think!) a finalised NLN for 2017/18 that comprises:
Alfreton Blyth Boston Brackley Bradford PA Chorley Curzon Darlo FCUM Gainsborough Harrogate Kiddy Leamington North Ferriby Nuneaton Salford Southport Spennymoor COUNTY Tamworth Telford York
Bring it on...!
