Wales - the Stockport County of international football. True, Lennie - and, let me tell you, it makes life a whole lot easier in terms of personal expectations management...!:-)

I wonder if he'd still have taken 7 defenders and 9 midfielders if Walker had been fit. As it is, apart from Lampard for Walker, the only place he's gone against my advice is in including Lambert instead of Carroll. That was a toss-up for me anyway so I don't have an issue with it. Job done given who's available.

Agreed. I'd part ways with Lampard AND Gerrard. They both had their chances and failed.

Still, two ex-County players (Forster and Lambert) in the squad-proper. Not bad!

Pretty happy with that. The midfield feels quite attack minded, though.
Start Barkley every game and have Lampard with his experience there as back up to close out games (or more likely try and snatch a last minute equaliser).

Need one old head on the pitch, and he still contributes. The thing is he hasn't had to carry Liverpool on his own this time. Playing deeper saves his energy and let's him set up play. Those 2 free kicks yesterday were just asking to be netted. He'll do for me this time and then re-build for Euro 16.
