Wimbledon p43 pts 62 max 71 (Swindon A, Tranmere A, Walsall H) Walsall p41 pts 62 max 77 (Doncaster A, Walsall H, Swindon A, Bradford H, Wimbledon A) Morecambe p42 pts 60 max 72 (Crewe H, County A, FGR H, Swindon A) Gillingham p43 pts 60 max 69 (Barrow H, Mansfield A, Doncaster H)
Tuesday sees County at Colchester, Barrow host Bradford C, Walsall journey to improving Doncaster (who have games in hand), Mansfield home to FGR, Morecambe play Crewe and Wrexham vs Crawley.
Possibly automatic promotion can be achieved if results fall all our way ?

Possibly automatic promotion can be achieved if results fall all our way ? Pretty much, Lennie - and irrespective of other results in midweek. MK Franchise could still equal our points-haul, but would need somehow to overturn a 25-goal-difference deficit! So, win at Colchester, and a point at home to Morecambe next Saturday would make promotion mathematically certain - which, after all, feels like a far better time and place to celebrate than Eastern Essex on a Tuesday night!

If my maths is correct, if we win and Mansfield self destruct at home to FGR then it is impossible for both Mansfield and MK to catch us as they play each other.

Had overlooked that, Duds. You're quite correct!

We could actually become champions this Saturday by virtue of:
(1) beating Colchester and then Morecambe; (2) Wrexham losing to Crawley on Tuesday; and (assuming Mansfield beat FGR that night...) (3) Mansfield losing to MK Franchise on Saturday.
Not beyond the realms...

THE FINAL COUNTDOWN
The April 7th update:-
County P42 pts 83 max 95 ( Morecambe H, Notts Co A, Accrington H, Wrexham A) Wrexham p43 pts 79 max 88 (Crawley H, FGR H, Crewe A, County H) Mansfield P42 pts 76 max 88 (FGR H, MK Dons A, Accrington H, Gillingham H, Barrow A) ...................................................................................................... MK Dons p43 pts 74 max 83 (Mansfield H, Harrogate A, Sutton H) Crewe p43 pts 70 max 79 ( Grimsby H, Wrexham H, Colchester A) Barrow p41 pts 67 max 79 (Bradford H, Gillingham A, Crawley A, Doncaster A, Mansfield H) Crawley p42 pts 65 max 77 (Colchester H, BArrow H, Sutton A, Grimsby H) ................................. Wimbledon p43 pts 62 max 71 (Swindon A, Tranmere A, Walsall H) Walsall p42 pts 62 max 74 (Walsall H, Swindon A, Bradford H, Wimbledon A) Doncaster p42 pts 61 max 73 (Accrington H, Barrow H, Colchester A, Gillingham A)
A point on Saturday confirms the automatic promotion for County (although this looks nailed on already due to superior goal diff). 2 wins out of 4 to confirm a championship win. Keep on an eye on Doncaster for a late play-off surge. Good recent record and 4 very winnable games coming up.
On Saturday we host Morecambe (free falling), Wrexham home to FGR, Mansfield to MK Dons (something will give there), Crewe have Grimsby, Barrow go to Gillingham, Crawley home to Colchester, Wimbledon at Swindon and Walsall have Notts Co,

Now at the stage where it feels tangibly close. A third championship in 5 years would be remarkable.

It would be sweet to be champions before the Wrexham game and have their players form a guard of honour to clap us out on to the pitch.

THE FINAL COUNTDOWN
The April 14th update:-
County P43 pts 86 max 95 (Notts Co A, Accrington H, Wrexham A) Wrexham p44 pts 82 max 88 (Crewe A, County H) Mansfield P43 pts 79 max 88 (Accrington H, Gillingham H, Barrow A) ...................................................................................................... MK Dons p44 pts 74 max 80 (Harrogate A, Sutton H) Crewe p44 pts 70 max 76 (Wrexham H, Colchester A) Barrow p42 pts 67 max 79 (Gillingham A, Crawley A, Doncaster A, Mansfield H) Crawley p43 pts 65 max 74 (Barrow H, Sutton A, Grimsby H) ................................. Doncaster p43 pts 64 max 73 (Barrow H, Colchester A, Gillingham A) Gillingham p44 pts 63 max 69 (Mansfield A, Doncaster H) Wimbledon p44 pts 62 max 68 (Tranmere A, Walsall H) Walsall p43 pts 62 max 71 (Swindon A, Bradford H, Wimbledon A)
I know we are promoted. But, I think it is useful (as it's elsewhere in our league) to visualize what others are going through (grateful that it's not us this time).
County could still finish 1st, 2nd or 3rd - don't want to think about that ! Mansfield look best bet for the third automatic (only KN Dons and Barrow can thwart that) Doncaster on the move again, and could very well gatecrash the end of season play-offs.
Tuesday sees: County go to Notts Co, Crawley entertain Barrow (crucial), Mansfield home to Accrington, Walsall host Swindon.

I could see Doncaster making, and then winning, the play-offs. Talk about finding momentum at the right time!
Would be pretty happy with that, too. Proper, well-supported club, who have endured a good few low-points over the years - and not too far away, geographically speaking, either.

Elsewhere in another League.............
Rotherham coming to join us
Sheff Wed more than likely down
Huddersfield or Birmingham ? Or Stoke and QPR who are not safe. Plymouth and Blackburn should be fine.
That could be a "Steel City Area triangle" of localish games to look forward to.

From a travelling point of view, anyone but Plymouth! As you say, Lennie, they should be ok - although their meeting with Stoke next Saturday could throw them back in the mix...
