The advantage I can see for these two young players is that they will get match-time in over the summer, as the Irish (Republic) Premier Division fixtures run from mid-February to early November. County's piece about this is a tad misleading, as it says they are there 'for the remainder of the season'. Both have gone on loan for all of it, and it has yet to start! That's fair enough, Maccy. Do we have some contacts within the Irish game then? It would certainly be a benefit, as we've seen some fantastic footballers from that part of the world.

Just to confirm in the post Harrogate interview DC makes it clear (around 5:15) that MSH is not expected back this campaign.
In saying that though he points out that right now we are missing Paddy, Sarce and Horsfall - 3 of our top players and yet we can still produce a really good showing, admittedly v a weaker team. By the sound of things all 3 are expected back in a couple of weeks or 3.
Slightly weird thing about the Harrogate game that last week Harrogate beat Carlisle without having a shot on goal thanks to a dreadful OG howler. Then this week they also had no shots on goal but got a goal from a bit of a clanger. I have much love and admiration for Hinchcliffe but he couldn't have been closer to his near post and still the ball got through between his legs - almost Phil Kite-esque.
I have a slight worry that last season's trend of conceding an odd poor goal could be making a comeback - fingers crossed it won't last long though.

What a strange timing for a season. Feb - Nov.
I bet they miss standing on the terraces or sitting in the seats freezing their b*ll*cks off on a Tuesday evening in December.

That's not good, but if it means he gets a full Summer of recovery and is firing on all cylinders for the pre-season, then it's something we have to look upon as a positive. I hope his recovery is going well.

It's a pity, as he's clearly not been given enough game-time to show us what he can do (which, based on seeing him in his Torquay days, I think could have been impressive), but, at the same time, he's little chance of getting it, given the high quality of our other midfielders.
Hope he can do a good job at Notts. A good addition for them.

I don't know why he hasn't been given much game time, but it's difficult to question that when we're flying so high in the table. I really hope he can help Notts get back to the FL, both for him and for that great old club. Good luck to both.

My guess is that with County reverting to 3CHs and with Paddy and Wootton up front that only leaves 3 MF spots and Evans would have been behind Collar, Croasdale and Sarcevic, plus Camps as well, and Akil Wright was a MF when he arrived.
So maybe Evan's problem is that he's a very similar player to Collar (tell me if I'm wrong) who must be having one of the best MF season's in County's history, not to mention Sarce and Camps....
But given that DC signed him, same goes for Joe Lewis, I suspect that DC was keen to have him out on loan to get match time and so may still figure in plans for next season, whichever division that is in.
The players I think are under the microscope are the pre-DC signings - and Croasdale (who has had some poor games) and Hinchcliffe loom large there.
Subsequent Edit: there are five other players currently out on loan who are also question marks: Scot Quigley, Ethan Ross, Ethan Pye, Ollie Crankshaw and Ben Barclay. Of those only Crankshaw (I think) was a DC signing so they are all probably looking at moving on. Most of them have been playing, although Ben Barclay returned from a long injury layoff and played a couple of games at Carlisle in Jan and since then has not played again.

Crankshaw was signed under Rusk. He scored a belter in the home defeat to Barnet that ended Rusk’s tenure.
