I'm sure Peterborough would not have taken Tshimanga, unless they thought he could do a job. Let's face it anything would be better than what's up front tonight in the first half. Totally ineffective. Some haven't even woken up. What's going wrong yet again.

Been a bit better this half, though, mate with a great finish from Kyle.
I do agree that we need to add another signing up top, though.

Hmmm, it's always good to have eft footers to provide balance, especially in MF. He's 5 foot 10 according to Wikipedia, so not really a centre half, but maybe these days centre halves are expected to be good ball players more than great chunks of granite like Alan Finley was.
I still think we need another target man, even if only to cover/provide rest for Wootton, or maybe the idea is that if he is rested then County will look to use the pace and running of Tanto and Stretton rather than looking to hoof it up to a big man, or maybe, just maybe, Scot Quigley could be brought back from Rochdale??
Anyway, good luck to one and all.

There's a tweet from County saying Grayson was the sixth and final signing for the January window. So (just for the record) I make it that the six are:
Tanto Jack Stretton Neil Byrne Kyle Knoyle Aaron Rowe and Joe Grayson
Lots of pace among those players, probably a good thing if we continue to play a high press and high tempo style.

I cannot fathom the clubs reasoning re McDonald/Grayson. Are they not both left sided players. If so, we've let one go to a higher level (usual excuse match time) & taken in from same level. He was not even on the bench last night for Barrow. I thought DC's ethos was to bring in only when the replacement is better & add's quality. Nothing against Grayson but we need better quality players. Last nights performance demonstrates that. Other clubs in this league are getting players from the Championship & even the Premier League. So why is that not happening at County. You have to back up the ambition with action.

James Brown's statement about the atmosphere & morale in the dressing room is quite damming if accurate. I sense that's why so many players have left stating "getting first team action" as the reason for wanting to leave. Is it a case of favouritism & being shown the door if your not in favour. Maybe that could also explain the significant drop in performance of the team.

I think his comments are more about being pissed off that Macca was first choice and he wasn't, rather than it being any real reflection on DC's dressing room, aero.
It all sounds a bit sour grapes to me and, for me, anyway, totally justifies the way DC utilised him. You earn your place, there should be no guarantees - permanent signing or otherwise.
He wasn't our player for a start, he was brought in on loan to cover Macca. He didn't do enough to keep his place, so that's his fault and nobody else's.
That's my take on it, anyway.

I wasn't sure if his spell out of the side coincided with MSH being back in it, I guess it would, MSH being, after all, one of the most important players in the side. That said I didn't really think he said much that was negative about, specifically, County. If anything it read to me like it was a headline in search of a story: a) Any player who gets a run in the Ist XI and then goes back to the bench damn well should have questions to ask - if only to clarify did I do anything wrong or am I mainly here as cover for someone as gifted as MSH. If you don't have questions to ask then maybe you're the kind who is happy to be paid for doing nothing, in which case we don't really want you. b) Commenting on how positive it is at Donny may be rooted more in a desire to say the right kind of things on arrival at a new club, rather than a real dig at a previous one and, even if it is dig at a prior club then maybe that dig is at Blackburn who, after all, brought him into English football and then loaned him out twice. c) Maybe the headline was motivated, in part, at a bit of sour grapes over Donny way that we've taken one of their best players. No, all in all, not much meat, too much gravy in that story.

A bit worrying about the dressing room comment. He played okay for us but was nothing to write home about. He certainly didn't warrant playing every match so won't really be missed.
That said, good luck to him.

I agree that there may not be too much substance to this story in terms of actual facts regarding the mood of our squad, but I don't think this is just creative journalism, I do believe that Brown did make that comment about us. He's hardly going to take a swipe at his parent club.
