Condolences first Gazz. As for Covid it is real and it is an arse of a disease. Take as long as you can to recover because you know the moment you step through the door they will continue to pile work on you. Congratulations on lasting so long, mainly down to your own persistence and sensible measures. Get well soon and cheer on the boys for three points tonight from afar. Just like me!

Thanks for the kind comments, H & Duds, they really do mean a lot to me.
I've found some real strength in posting this here on this thread, although I really wasn't going to, but all of our experiences of this awful pandemic are laid down here so I thought it might help to get mine down here too - it certainly did just that.

So sorry to hear of your loss, Gazz. I'm sure it would have helped to get it all down in your post and I'm guessing that your Dad would want you to concentrate on your memories of good times. Thoughts are with you and your family.

Many thanks for that, Archie. It still doesn't seem real, but this definitely gave me an outlet that really has helped. Plus, I guess catching Covid has given me something else to think about too and provided me with a distraction - some distraction, though.

Tested positive last Thursday, PCR result came through positive on the Friday, I'm now a Full 7 days on from that and I'm still testing positive.
Symptoms nowhere near as bad now, just cold and flu-like but I still can't go into work, as my employer has now enforced a new rule - anyone with Covid must stay at home until they test negative.
Do we get paid? Do we f***, and there's nothing we can do about it. Welcome to Johnson's Brexit Britain.

My youngest daughter was the same a few weeks ago but recovered okay shortly afterwards, just in time to start her first job.
