Yep, I think the first half of the sentence sums it up well.

1 son working in A&E lives in a shared house with a GP who was on a covid ward. The other GP caught it but luckily got though it okay.. Other son living in a shared house with 2 paramedics - one has caught it so he's finishing self isolation. Both live darn sarf. There has to be a moral to this .....

Do not watch unless you can afford a new TV, computer or mobile phone:
What a f***ing FRAUD. The Good Morning Britain YouTube channel had comments disabled in the full length version of that clip - f***ing democracy, eh?

Can’t help but enjoy the schadenfreude of London being (finally) planed into ‘Tier 3’ and now ‘Tier four’.
It’s been a s*** year and I am sick of lockdowns. For the last 6 months it had felt like a systematic plan to level down the north.

Anecdotally, the amount of people who were not keyworkers in the first lockdown but now are for the purpose of accessing schools (and in case nurseries change to keyworkers only) seems quite farfetched to say the least.

Deputy Head who lives near me told me of a parent who is claiming he is a keyworker because he lays artifical grass !!
There must be a joke in there somewhere, but I can't find it yet.

hatter_in_maccHow is Rick doing these days, matey? It's been a while since the last update.

Thanks for asking, matey. Progress in Rick's rehabilitation has (understandably) been slow, and updates from the family relatively few and far between. He is still relying on a wheelchair for much of the time, but did, over the Christmas period, take his first unaided steps - five of them - which gave him and his loved ones a huge boost going into the new year. The news came at a time when Mother Macc had been hospitalised, so I didn't get around to posting it on here back then - but he is definitely on the right road to some kind of recovery.

That's great to hear that he's making progress with those first steps, matey. Please pass on our best wishes the next time you speak to Rick and/or his family.

Yes - of course. As a Hull supporter, he finds it mildly amusing (but incredibly touching) that there has been a bunch of County fans rooting for, and asking after, him!

First ever lateral flow test for me today.
The girlfriend has to get tested at the walk-in centre here every week for work, but the systems were down when she went after work on Friday (her usual test day), so she went today.
I went with her on our bikes to keep her company, so I thought it's the responsible thing to do and got a test myself - it was negative.
It kinda feels good to know I'm ok right now.

Good to hear that, matey. Mrs Macc and I arranged our vaccinations yesterday. Some light at the end of the tunnel, hopefully...
