What a gent Big Kay really is! At the end of season dinner he was more than happy to spend the whole evening signing autographs, posing for pictures and generally just chatting with the fans.
As for the Lewis signing, that is a superb piece of business from County to secure his signature, I'd argue he's the best player in the squad, though maybe not apparent at first with his 1 goal in all competitions (Half Volley against Crewe in last years Cheshire Cup) so far but his play is phenomenal, he never stops running, intercepting and generally getting in the oppositions way and has been a key player for us since Day One.
In the name of the Most Holy James 'The Messiah' Gannon of Stopfordia we trust, Praise be upon him.

It would appear to be, mate, but I've given up assumptions when it comes to Jim!

Another shrewd acquisition - he's a solid, steady type and should fit in well. He could certainly play left of Montrose in the 4-3-1-2, providing defensive attributes and more mobility than CMW can offer currently. JG mentioned CMW picking up a muscle injury at Crewe and, from what I've seen this season, I think it's preferable not to have Ball having to help Dux... and Brazel is unproven.

I agree mate, Ball looks much better further up the field. He's chipping in with a fair few goals as of late, too.

Yup, when Ball's focused he certainly looks a good player that can do damage in the attacking 3rd. His headed goal from the cross from Ross (Alty game) was a joy to watch! Hopefully the consistency from game to game improves.
Oh, and the new lad can put in the kind of cross any #9 should put away... Cummins must be a bit gutted he's left!

hang on though. i thought they were massive?!? why would a player want to leave such an upwardly mobile club?

After Curzon jumping the gun with their announcement of Hampson's joining County, the official act of signing has just been announced!

County have re-signed Sefton Gonzales: www.stockportcounty.com/news/article/2016-17/sg-3578328.aspxIf I could be bothered to trawl through the archives, I could show you that I said I thought he was a typical Jim Gannon player when it was announced that he was leaving. I'm really pleased he's back: It shows that I am incredibly perceptive, and I will be adding this to my CV. I really think Jim will turn him into a great asset to the team.

I think this is a good signing. I said myself when he was with us last time that I thought he had something about him. If he has, then Jim will almost certainly get the best out of him.

Agree with the above comments. It seemed as if he were in the wrong place at the wrong time early last season - and if Jim thinks he has something about him, that is good enough for me.
He looked to be Stalybridge's best player at EP a fortnight ago, too... which, I hasten to add, is not intended as faint praise!
Welcome back, Sefton.

Few Twitter comments already questioning this one but it makes sense to ensure that we have that 'big man' figure available throughout 90 minutes in each game. If either K or Amis are unavailable then we're automatically short of a bench option for that position. Hopefully coming in to a team at the top of the table will help him get off to a good start and he can do a good job when called upon until the end of the season.
