Mark said: "After a total of six years at Chorley, I can leave with no regrets - it has been brilliant, we've had two promotions, and I've got some great friends there, but they understand my reasons and they're all behind me.
"I've always had an eye on Stockport County down the years and I've been close to signing before but it didn't quite happen for me. It's a big club and it feels like the right time, they're ready to kick on and everyone you speak to in football says they're ready to progress now. I've had quite a few offers during my time at Chorley, but there hasn't been anything to make me leave - until now.
"Whenever the fixtures come out, I always look out for the County games and I would spend weeks preparing for those, but I want to play in front of those fans every week, not just twice a season. I want to progress the club and be part of that progress, to make some history."

Carl Piergianni is taking a break from football and is going to spend his time travelling around Asia and Australia...he has said if he ever wants to get back into Football and Boston want him, they'd be his first port of call.

Great to hear that we have signed a Chorley player - not least because it might give us an insight into how we can win/score against the Magpies for the first time in over a century! He is also a right back - which goes some way to explaining why Morton has been released. Sounds a very solid signing, all told. Welcome to County, Mark. And cheers for sharing the news, Gaz-man.

Only just seen this.... Strewth, not another f***ing banana skin.........surely we've suffered enough in this joke of a league? I've got a bad feeling about this, we're there to be made an example of, have been since we dropped into this public toilet.

Sounds to me like nothing more than sour grapes, as I understand it ANY club can speak to any player with less than 6 months left on their contract...I think Chorley are upset of County finally using their muscle in this Pot Noodle Division 12 or whatever we're in now...there were no such complaints from BPA over Lamin Colley and none from us at Chorley when they got Kyle Jacobs from under our noses...they all happened pretty quickly, quick enough to suspect foul play!

So he want's County to be punished?? I've looked in the "Sour grapes handbook of the Happy Shopper baked beans league" and found these possible punishments we could be slapped with...
1. Being docked 1 minute per game! This would be bad for the club as if we played 89 minute games then all the people who had bought season tickets expecting 90 minute games would be entitled to a rebate of £0.86p!
2. Hot food being served 3 degrees cooler than the cooking guidelines state! Again another hard one for the club as this could lead to longer queues at the toilet (especially in the later stages of the second half!!) and hit us i the pocket as extra toilet rolls would need to be purchased!! The only good thing about this though would be if we did play 89 minute games supporters would be able to get home to their own conveniences a minute earlier than last season!
3. Our media team (Maccy) not being allowed to use the words "goal", "corner", "shoots/shot" or "pass" when tweeting match highlights.
4. County supporters banned from clapping and cheering when a goal is scored.
I'm sure you'll all agree that these punishments are all extremely severe in their own individual way, the question is though, which one would you choose if we did have to suffer one of these atrocities?
