Will do ARS.
A few crusty old gits will be playing, but we are all well bred. Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood are refereeing !!

Ciabatta give a good account of yourself, Len, or you might get some Stick, which would be a Pitta.
Will there be any Naan's in the crowd to cheer you on?

Do you reckon that Lennie's team attracts any ageing groupies? Of course it does! They're known as the old bag-ettes...

Cheers, folks, I will report back later.
As I said, the referee will be Mary Berry, our squad will be Barely Merry !
You should have seen the sports shop guys face (on Friday) when I walked in and asked for a pair of shinpads and goalie gloves ---- to fit me !!! I have opened up a whole new market in Cleveleys town centre for him.
Reminds me of the shop assistant where I bought a pair of football boots a few years ago when I started coaching again. Her face was a picture as I sat and tried them on. What was funniest was the box they came in which had written on the side "Made in China (Adidas !!) average contents - 2". I asked what would happen if I got them home and there was only one in the box ? Or even more bizarre three ?
You couldn't make it up.

Sounds like you left the shop with a Rye smile on your face, Lennie

Warburton's Cup Report.
Not good news. Having 2 teams entered from Blackpool we divided our resources evenly (at a cost).
Sadly, we lost 5 games 1-0 but then beat local rivals Fleetwood 2-0. We put the Cods in their Plaice !! Our other team won 3 games. drew 1 and lost 2. Overall winners Chesterfield.
Modesty forbids me to record who won the Blackpool Man of the Tournament Award (note to self - build a new bragging shelf).
Most enjoyable but played throughout in bands of wind, hail and a torrential downpour. I now remember why I gave up playing 30 years ago. Just a typical balmy, Blackpool August day then.

We beat them 2-0 in the le Tissier Trophy back in May.

Unlucky, Lennie, but congrats on your own award. Cheers for keeping us all updated, I'm making this thread a sticky because it deserves to be!

We need to drop the Le Tissier Cup bit from the title, Gazza. I can't seem to edit it out though !
Any ideas ? Cheers.
