Very impressive, lennie. After my hernia op I was pretty much wiped out by walking the dogs. I think you might be danger of getting another hernia carrying all those trophies about, archie!

Latest update on the Walking Football. News of our group is travelling fast. Tonight we are to be filmed (in action) for a Barclays Bank Advert on TV !!!!! I shall wear my Kevin Francis zig-zag 1994 shirt so that I will be easily spotted. (viewers may think there is interference on their screens). It could involved being interviewed as well !!! Just had my haircut and going to make-up session very soon.

Have a feeling in might be a tie-in to their premier League sponsorship to be used during broadcasted games.
I will find out more tonight.

Apparently it was an independent film crew employed by Barclays to put together a video in order to assess the likelihood of possible further filming for it's present internet-use support campaign (they do one based around Neath and it's ex-miners at the moment).
They were more interested in the non-internet using Over 60's but were very interested in my Barclaycard sponsored blue socks, and the County Heaven website admin angle!!!!!!! So they may follow-up the "silversurfer" angle as well as the football as a background back story. Also the fact that I intend to acquire a new skill by Skyping in time for our 1st grandchild arriving in November.
Watch this space.

Latest update:-
A Lennie double hat-trick in a 9-7 win earlier. We had two 16 year old work experience lads playing with us today who couldn't believe the skill level on show. One was the Blackpool Schools' U16 goalkeeper who was mesmerised when I scored one through his legs after a step over.
Onward and upward !

No need to bring back Len White, I think you've been possessed by the great man, Lennie - stunning effort!

I could always score in pub football but never played out of goal beyond that level. So enjoying the ride at the moment. I would like to think the great man is "Len-ding" a guiding hand.

Walking Football Update. Our group were obviously too energetic for the crap Barclay's Advert (and probably too internet savvy for them). The standard of the goalkeeping is pathetic !! Anyway - this Thursday sees the Senior Seasiders host there own "Warburton Cup". Two teams Armfield's Army and Matthew's Maestros take on Rochdale, Chesterfield, Rotherham, Fleetwood (feisty !!) and Shrewsbury. As it's the Warburton Cup I should point out that we are not in it for the "dough" and hope we can "rise" to the occasion. We will "knead" all the help we can with no "loafers" in the teams. I have now set up our own Facebook page (who needs Barclay's help anyway)and can be accessed at:- www.facebook.com/pages/Walking-Football-National-Independent-Association/719753931413922We are also in tune with Walking Football United:- www.walkingfootballunited.co.uk/They are also trying to link up a national network of WF Groups with a nationwide competition the ultimate goal !!! This thing is growing and growing - remember how the FA started in 1863 (they didn't have the internet to help them). WF is the new bingo for old gits !

Brilliant, Lennie. b*ll*cks to Barclays, your problem (if you can call it a problem) is that you're just too good!
