It looks that way, Maccy, it seems he was just terribly unlucky.

To look at the movement of the ball he obviously caught it cleanly, and the fact he was back in his feet immediately and running back into position suggests a t was more unlucky than malicious. Sadly sometimes accidents like this happen. I’ve seen far worse challenges result in no injury at all. Let’s hope he makes a full recovery.

Let's all have our fingers crossed for not only a County result tomorrow but for our neighbours Alty, who travel to Boreham Wood.

Huge day for us as Boreham Wood lost away at Maidenhead and Chesterfield lost at home to Solihull. Have a good evening!

Another huge night tonight with Chesterfield v Wrexham, Notts Co v Halifax and Torquay v Borehamwood all in action whilst we relax and keep checking our digital displays for score flashes. Hopefully, In my opinion those three will finish A,D,H and then I’ll have wee dram at the end of the night!

I will settle for 3 draws. And then a non-alcoholic drink to toast the results.
PS Good news yesterday - my blood test HbA1c (diabetes) came back as 44 instead of 48 where it was 6 and 9 months ago. So technically I am pre-diabetic and not Diabetic 2 (48 is the cusp marker !). Still need to take care with biscuits, bread, crisps etc. Only had about 20 units of alcohol in the last 12 months.

Excellent news on your health Lennie, a series of draws would do me too. No one getting momentum except for the mighty blue and white army!

Going well for us at the halftimes tonight. All the top reams drawing, except Bromley losing. Happy if it ends like that.

Execellent night for us without kicking a ball.
After tonight's loss at home to Wrexham, Chesterfield have taken 5 points from their last 5 and are now well down the form table.
Boreham Wood's away 0-0 at Torquay means they've taken 1 point from their last 2 games and didn't score in either.
Bromley, away at Weymouth, and Notts and Halifax - who played one another - all dropped points as they drew in their respective games.
Maynard got Solihull's winner and they're now in good form and knocking on the door for a top place.
Just 16 league games in charge and DC's 41 from a possible 48 has taken us from outside the playoffs to having the title in our own hands.

Great set of results this evening. In theory, I think Boreham Wood could still get their noses in front of us if they were to win all three games in hand - but it has to be a really big 'if', given they are finding goals hard to come by and have the continued distraction of the Cup.
Solihull - as you say, H - are looking like form horses at the moment, and Wrexham are on the up, too. We need to maintain our current advantage over both as best we can.

I agree with everything said here, we've just got to keep this run going for as long as we can and give ourselves a decent cushion.
We don't want the playoffs now, we want that bloody title, so let's get it over and done with and let the rest sweat it out for that second promotion place - lord knows we've earned that during our time outside the FL.
