Very comfortable while Ukraine were in a back 3 and unable to play through the lines. Sloppiness was the biggest threat to our goal for the first half hour.
We look less secure now that they've switched shape so very important HT tactical work to sort out our solidity now. The plus is that we're likely to get more 1v1 take-on opportunities and I would certainly fancy Sancho and Sterling to be able to exploit that.

What a brilliant first 5 of the 2nd half! Fantastic FK from Shaw and Sancho cutting the passing lane to start off goal 3, Shaw again delivering well. Ruthless.

Very noticeable the difference in how the attackers run direct off the ball when Henderson has it deep - both Sterling and now Rashford know he likes the ball over the defence and it adds a different dimension... led to Kane's volley as well.
Southgate has done really well tonight because he's been able to cure the issues their changed shape was creating. The goals coming as they've done have killed them even further, of course!
Clean sheet, no injuries, no suspensions now, please.

Another semi final beckons for England,I hope you or should I say the England team don't underestimate the Danes,they are a really good team though I think England should have enough to beat them.

I for one will not underestimate Denmark, mate, as I said to a few people I know after they'd managed to qualify from their group that, if I was a betting man, I'd put my money on them to win the whole thing - they have a real togetherness that's carried them since Christian Eriksen's awful exit from the tournament. If we are to make the Final, then we'll really have to earn it. |

I completed a pre tournament spreadsheet predicting results and had England v Denmark as a semi final. Hopefully without Eriksen we will have enough to see them off!

After 30 minutes of receiving it, having 3 men crowd him and still trying to dribble it through the crowd, Saka worked out how to be effective and did it twice in a few minutes. The first occasion he waited for the crowd and passed through it into Kane for Sterling's chance. Next he ran beyond when Kane dropped deep to build play. Sure the front 3 will be encouraged at HT to exploit these things against the back 3 and midfield support.
Other than that, stop fouling and concentrate on technique. That's basically let us down all half.
Good to get in even as they should have done more from one of their breaks.
C'mon, lads. You can definitely do this.

I've waited most of my 52 years for us to win a major trophy, and now we're in the final.
I honestly don't care if I spend the rest of my life on my arse and skint, I don't care what happens the day after the final, I don't want a lottery win, I don't want to marry a porn star, I don't want anything else in life other than to see my kids be happy and successful and my country win a big one in the football - just please, please, please, please let me see us win this one!

Great result for you lads,just on the phone to my auld lad and he is well chuffed,himself and I were saying that Stirling has been Englands best player in the tournament,he's been savage to be honest.....btw auld lad means my dad lol
