From JG's Twitter this morning:
"Best wishes to @1davecon, the staff, players and all at Stockport County FC for todays’s game and for the rest of the season. I know they are strong enough to go all the way this year. The great journey continues for them.
Thanks from the bottom of my heart to all for the tremendous support I have received in recent days and throughout this brilliant five years. The depth of feelings has been overwhelming and I take great comfort from your kindness and generosity for me.
Again a thank you to Al, Fitz, RP and GB for believing in me 5 years ago and trusting me to lead County again. There are too many good people to mention but I am immensely proud of what we have achieved together. We have come a long way and the club is now set for a bright future."

I still can't believe that the club have dumped on Jim again, but whereas I always thought he'd be back one day after his previous departures, I really don't think he'll be coming back now.
I refuse to get behind this team until I know exactly what's gone on, but even then, I don't know if I'll ever feel the same about this club again. If I continued to watch and cheer players on, players who it transpires later on were involved in getting Jim dismissed, I'll feel dirty and hate myself for it.
Right now, I feel exactly the same as I did when Danny was crapped on. I never forgave Elwood for what he and his mate Jolley did to him, even when we got to what is now the Championship. He ultimately left us in the sh*t, though, so those good days under his ownership just feel like they happened in an alternate reality to me now.
Similarly, Stott will always be a tw## to me from now on, no matter what good he does going forward, but I now have serious doubts about any good coming from his tenure at all - I honestly don't think it'll end well, that's my gut feeling.
Regarding Jim's 'unfinished business', I have talked about this myself many times down the years, but I'm now thinking why does it have to be with us? Jim's unfinished business now should be to prove his detractors wrong, those same detractors who are feeling snug and warm this morning in the fact that 'big, bad Jim' is gone - sad, sad people.
I hope he finds a new club to call home, where he can work his magic once again and gain even more success and ram it right down the throats of those moaning c***s, particularly those gobshites who sit in the Main Stand.
If you're one of said gobshites, here's a big, fat "f*** you" from me. I hope Jim comes back in the opposition dugout one day and gives it the big un to you all if he gets all three points. I don't think he would, though, because he's got more integrity than that.
Good luck, Jim and thanks for every single memory you've given me watching County, lord knows there have been too many to mention here. You were the last strong link to the good times.
When I say good times, I don't just mean the great victories punching above our weight, the promotions or the Wembley finals, I also mean the defeats and the disappointments. Because one thing we did back then was win together and lose together, we all felt like one big family and we'd commiserate each other when it wasn't going to plan.
That's gone now, replaced by faceless, sh*t stirring mooks on internet message boards who can't wait to post the latest rumour in the hope that it'll undermine the person they don't like.
I hate what modern football has become, but somehow we never felt a part of that with Jim around and I loved that feeling that we never sold our souls, but now I feel that's exactly where we're heading and this club is just not going to be the same for me now.

Wow, some awesome Jim avatars springing up.
Wish Jim all the best for the future - I am sure he will be snapped up soon and succeed where ever he ends up.
Thank you for all you have done 'Mr Stockport County'. You will be missed.

Wonder who is lined up to take over,I'm sure the mercenary chairman has been tapping up someone for a while, that would be my thinking anyway. This fisco didn't happen over night.

From Sam Byrne's Twitter the other day:
"County say it’s not a “results decision” & I believe there’s some hope on the clubs part that the fact the decision has been made after a win shows that."
So, yes, if that's what the Club has given to Sam then it seems to suggest it wasn't happened upon that day but rather they waited for the win to end JG's tenure.
As such, it weakens an already p*ss poor statement because if something 'cultural' is so bad to end a person's employment, but not so bad to stop you being able to wait for West Ham to happen and a win to come to 'prove' JG's departure is not results related, then you should probably question how this makes your own organisation's culture appear.
Most (including me) have praised the new takeover group because much has gone on to take us forward.
But on the things money doesn't buy:
Not contacting people here over sponsorship whilst being able to turn my donation to the Christmas fund into an opportunity to contact me over sponsorship packages, and then burying 4 sponsorship deals straight under JG's departure statement... well isn't that about your organisation's culture, no? And it's hardly impressive, is it?
Even though I think many would think new ownership would want 'their' people throughout the Club, and we don't know the ins and outs of anything, it nevertheless grates (to out it politely) that they ended JG's time here in such a way, with words that lacked the basic care not to potentially impact his opportunity to work in the industry and a 'fingers in the ears' talking down to the supporters.
Do better.

Looking back at my managerial career, (there - you didn't know that) the bible was Charles Handy and culture was a hot topic. To throw some light on this organisations have different cultures ; power culture role culture task culture person culture This may spread some light..... or not, but is an interesting read www.tutor2u.net/business/reference/models-of-organisational-culture-handy

Thanks, ceefer, that was an interesting little video. It's not a world I've worked in so have no idea on the research and models of management and culture in businesses.
Whatever approach we have though seemed to not identify it's fitting to hold a minute's silence to think of a former player who passed that week. Culture indeed.

I don't know how many Heavener's didn't spend a penny today for the match streaming. I know I didn't & don't know the score today either. It will take a really good proper explanation to Jim's departure for me to feel it's in the clubs interest, to be able to move on. How a week has changed things. Watching Football Focus last Saturday, SC & Jim were featured. Although maybe not the best comparison but on today's programme Mark Hughes was asked to explain how Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has turned around Man Utd. His reply was because he is Mr United & he knows the club through & through. Oh didn't we have a manager just the same but looks like our illustrious owner & directors know better. Just a note about the gobsh_tes in the main stand comment. That's a little harsh. Although not a season ticket holder myself, I attended most home matches before the pandemic. I used to see & hear Jim's actions. I'm sure his big toe was sore after kicking the wall many times during a match. But, I put that down to him wanting 110% effort from the team & for them to execute the game plan. I used to see his frustrations first hand. Although Jim wasn't everyone's favourite, I heard mainly good comments.

To be fair, mate, I didn't label all of the main stand regulars gobshites, just the select few that have been known to give Jim some serious abuse on a regular basis, so I think you're being a little unfair there - it's been nicknamed the "Moan Stand" for that reason.

Looks like he hasn't played at the same level as Jim and I've not been impressed by any of the U23 teams we have played in friendlies. However he comes highly recommended from Gary Dicker.
It would appear a change in management has been on the offing for some time now and this mirrors replacing most of the staff who knew and understood the County culture. But normal in any takeover.
Whoever comes in will have some mightily big shoes to step into with all the added pressure of maintaining and achieving the promotion push.

Is this a Rusk or a Risk ?
Puns about being "Farley knowledgeable" will be music to Sandy and Macca's ears.
Under 23s Brighton loan players being shipped up north ?
This must have been long in the pipeleine to be sorted so quickly. I smell a big fat furry rodent like creature !

It seems that Simon Wilson was as much behind this as Stott, seeing as though they have worked together in the past.
I'm starting to wonder if this City rumour has any legs.
