I'll never tire of posting here just how one hundred percent County Sam is. He was the first to put pen to paper after the title win, showing total loyalty to the club. He fully deserves this and I agree with H, it would be great to see him Captain the team at some point. Great news to have both players given extensions, but Sam's is just that little bit more special. He'll always have a special place after scoring that dramatic late winner against Kidderminster on my 50th birthday!

Really pleased for these 2. Well deserved but please Sam stop the tippy tappy backwards stuff.

This is a massive positive, one that I've wanted to see since Newby joined us. He's twice the player Rooney is and, along with MSH, is exciting to watch.
Fair play to everyone involved in making this happen.
As Sandy has just said to me, hopefully Cardwell will be joining him next.

Good news - and a great addition. Hope he gets a start this Saturday, too.

Interesting we are signing 20 year olds on a 3 year deal - especially when they have only a small amount of 1st team experience, but then what do I know about football players? - but I guess there must be something about him to attract that length of contract.
Good luck and welcome to Edgeley Park

Fantastic news about Alex, he's totally deserved this.
He's got a great attitude, one that he's shown more than once when not in the starting XI.
At the start of the season when Jim wasn't starting him, he waited patiently for his chance and took it with both hands when it came along. He's done exactly the same thing under Simon Rusk and now he's earned himself this contract extension.
Nice work, Alex and fair play to everyone else for recognising how important he is.
The next news I want to read is MSH being nailed down for another two years, that would really put the icing on the cake for me.

Agree with all you said, Gazz, about Alex Reid and MSH. I too hope he can be persuaded to commit to a longer term deal. As to new signing Ryan Rydel, I wonder if he's seen as a possible replacement for MSH should the latter be offered and accept a lucrative deal by one of the EFL clubs apparently assessing him?

I think he's a left-sided player, Bradders, so he's more likely to be cover for and/or an alternative to Kitching. I hope so anyway, as we really would miss MSH if he was to move on elsewhere.
