Dreadful to hear. Thoughts are with Connor, and everything crossed for his full recovery.

This is such terrible news, It's an awful awful disease which I lost my stepdad to last August.
Pleasing to read that it's a good success rate through surgery and I wish you all the best and a speedy recovery when you do beat this Connor .

That is horrible news. Hopefully a full recovery can be made and a way back into the team.

Awful news. It’s always upsetting when a player gets a long term injury, but you accept they are part of the game.
This is totally different though - it’s a horrible shock to Connor and all those close to him. You just don’t expect a fit 20-something to be struck down with such a horrendous illness.
I suppose the only positive is that they have found it - that might not have been the case if he wasn’t playing football and having his physical health scrutinised on a daily basis.
Hope all goes well for him with the operation and he can make a speedy recovery. Some things are more important that football.
We are all with you Connor.

Why have we signed another keeper?? Wilson: “I’m sure all County fans will join me in welcoming Ross to the football club, and I’m certain he’ll be a success during his time with us.” Why would you care what we think, Simon? It hasn't bothered you thus far. www.stockportcounty.com/county-sign-keeper-fitzsimons/

We have to play 13 or 14 games in 9 weeks plus, hopefully, play offs. This is absolutely the right time to be making sure that there is cover in all positions. Dave Jones signed the likes of Charlery and Cowans in 1997 for just this reason. We had one of the larger squads by the end of the 2007/8 season via loan signings because Jim wanted the cover. It's just the right thing to do if you can afford it.
Supporters of other clubs will be moaning that their boards aren't making enough signings.

"and I’m certain he’ll be a success during his time with us.” He'll only be a success if you intend to drop Ben and play him??

Welcome Ross.
Is Josh on his way out or is it a genuine back fill in case of injuries?

No issue for me bringing in someone at GK who has played competitve men's football. Ultimately I don't think there would be much confidence - no offence to the Joshes - if Ben got hurt and we had inexperience between the sticks in the most key period.
Obviously a fee for someone not able to play for Boston sounds a bit strange but there you go.
