Astonishingly. people are STILL not doing as they ought - with scenes from the weekend being repeated today in the Peak District... #stayhome Jesus f***ing Christ. We need the military out there now, because these morons are going to help kill thousands more of our loved ones. Stupid f***ing bastards.

That's an example to all employers - well done, Unilever!

How you holding up, Duds? Family back home all ok? I’m fine thanks, just been out for the first time since Saturday...I needed some fresh fruit and veg! My family are clear so far, although my father has just been diagnosed as having shingles so hopefully he will be able to keep himself house bound...he loves going for long walks in the countryside so keeps himself pretty fit for a man in his mid 70s.

oh ffs. my dad has had a procedure today, but not the stent in the end. i'd better not be queuing behind those muppets tomorrow when i go to get him.
great isn't it that we're now playing on the decency of retired NHS workers and volunteers when the staffing has shrunk so much under austerity.
slightly separately but related, 'cops like us' on bbc 1 last week was in stoke and it really hit home on there how much the force has been cut and how police also feel like they're often doing the work of other services that have been cut, like local mental health services. we need our frontliners to be able to be frontliners.

Had to laugh at an incident at work today. One of the storemen is a right arse and this morning he was asked by his supervisor if, having used the printer he would mind using the wipes provided to clean the buttons. Not an unreasonable request in the circumstances you might think. "f*** that" replied said arse "I'm not the f***ing cleaner". His supervisor is about 5'2" and apparently she had to be physically restrained from gripping him by the throat and squeezing until his eyes began to bulge. Happily the anti-social bellend was warned about his future conduct.

yeah the government has had to write to hotels to clarify that they should be continuing to support these placements. not that local authorities should be using b&b accommodation to meet their homelessness duties, but most are.

not sure whether this is the best place for it, but jonathan pie is confined to barracks (contains some swearing). this is mostly for gazz, but there is also a blast of mudhoney near the start for altmaccy and alteps.

Yeah but, isn't it a prime example of how the market can solve every problem? Entirely agree but since the wretched Thatcher forced councils to flog their housing stock at market discounted prices and then refused to allow them to reinvest it in new stock I think we can say that this is yet another example of the sheer bloody incompetence of the Tories. Sorry, I'll go and wash my mouth out. Tories...incompetent...can't be right.

Hope your Dad gets better soon, mate. Good to hear everyone else is ok. Has there been any improvement in the situation over there?

Here's hoping for a speedy operation and recovery for your Dad, mate. Couldn't agree more on the NHS and the Police. He's praising the volunteers, but many of them wouldn't be needed if his party hadn't decimated them in the first place. Meanwhile, there are some who think he's actually doing a good job! There really are some people out there with selective/short memories, mate. More emergency beds being provided, more nurses/volunteers, more money to help those affected... ... where the f*** was all this last year? Roy Keane was once asked about a compliment Ferguson paid to him for his performance in a match, to which Keane answered that he felt a little insulted by compliments like that, as what else was he supposed to do, he was doing his job, trying to help his team win a football match. He added that you don't praise a postman for delivering the letters, it's his job. Praising this government for putting back something they shouldn't have taken away in the first f***ing place is pretty much the same thing.
