As I mentioned it on here earlier this year, this is probably the place to let everyone know that my brother passed away last week. He had been fighting a tumour for about 18 months and I'd like to make it clear that covid didn't affect his treatment in any way. Everyone did what they could. The main issue was that visiting him through the summer was impeded by the covid restrictions but, near the end, no-one queried our right to be on the road to see him in the hospice in Heald Green.

So sorry to hear that, archie. Thoughts are with you, with others in your family, and with your brother's friends.

sorry to hear that archie. it is just a grim time across the board. if you're older or otherwise vulnerable it's unsettling. if you were already undergoing treatment for something, can that still go ahead, and how safe do you feel taking yourself out of splendid isolation to go to a hospital? my dad was due to start chemo months ago, and it hasn't started yet.
really sorry to hear about your brother, but i'm really glad you got to see him.

Thanks all. Just back from the restricted committal/cremation so closure beckons.

Mini-Herm was sent home yesterday as someone in his class felt unwell on Monday and then tested positive Thursday. He's now working from home until the new year and we've closed our business during his isolation period as per our guidance from the LA.
