How the hell did they get the World Cup if not through mass bribery?
Farce.

Just 'hosted' the office sweepstake, but in the interests of fairness (and to avoid allegations of FIFA-esque corruption), I said I would take whichever three countries were left in the pot at the end.
My lovely colleagues left me with.... Belgium, France and Brazil.
Needless to say, I'm not very popular.

If you watch, never mind rate, an opening ceremony you deserve all you get.

There was nothing wrong with the Gene Kelly stand !! I remember watching Pool vs Wolves on TV and the camera fixed on the "temporary" structure was wobbling for 90 minutes. The commentator insisted it was because all the Wolves fans were jumping up and down trying to keep warm. The ground thermometer was registering minus 12 degrees in January.

There was nothing wrong with the Gene Kelly stand !! well i do remember 'a glorious feeling' in there one afternoon when county scored four. it did crack that day though and the stewards had to move the county fans away from the offending structural defect.

was 2012 the exception proving the rule though archie? there were many pretty cringey moments in it, but it was also a monumental triumph of british ingenuity and chutzpah. it's the only one i've ever watched, and i'm glad i did.

Aug 14th 2004. Goals from Jackman, Feeney, Beckett and Beckett.

Am I alone in being intensely irritated by the continual sniping of the commentators and their relentless negativity?
