All i can say thank god we had Kane on the pitch....
Question should Lingard, Sterling and Alli start next match?

Am I alone in being intensely irritated by the continual sniping of the commentators and their relentless negativity? I watched it with the sound off !!!

Thought Loftus Cheek added a bit of urgency when he came on. Rashford a better bet than Dancing Boy Sterling.
Ali should have gone off at half time, obviously carrying an injury.
Thought Trippier was a revelation and Young's corners were pivotal (not his free kicks though).
Have to put those early chances away though. Belgium could tear that defensive 3 to bits.

I believe after 1 appearance, Harry Kane now has twice as many career World Cup goals as Wayne Rooney.
England's 'all time leading scorer'... what a joke.

Sterling reminds me of a Scooby Doo cartoon, where his legs are moving really fast but he always seems like he's going nowhere!

Leeds takes it for me, closely followed by Peterborough and Bristol - you can't beat a hearty rendition of "En-ger-lund" when you're tanked up!

Plastic Paddy Lawrenson is a long way the worst.
As for the starting eleven, I'd have thought that Southgate will stick with the same for the next match if fit. In terms of the subs, I thought that Loftus-Cheek was the clear pick.

I actually enjoyed last nights game, despite the result only being 2-1 it's the best we've played at a World Cup in a long time. I'd definitely start with Rashford and Loftus-Cheek against Panama. This World Cup has thrown up a lot of shocks so far so I'm just enjoying not being one of them!

not entirely unpredictable that leeds would be the stupidest. sorry lennie, i've been on the western terrace at headingley for T20s, and a beer shower perpetrated by a gang of pi**ed up phone shop workers brings out the genocidal in me.
