for anyone who hasn't gone to brackley before, there's a long residential road leading up to the club car park, and we've parked on that road with no fuss at all the last two seasons. the car park's only two quid, but there's been no real need for it when i've been.

Additional info:
We have parking for between 80 - 100 cars and the Club has a 2 parking charge for use of the car park for non-official car parking to encourage car sharing. Please can you advise supporters to use the club car park or suggested alternatives and to avoid parking in the streets approaching the ground.
Following residents complaints of illegal and inconsiderate parking around the ground police have been issuing tickets to vehicles causing obstructions and parked illegally.
Alternative supporters parking can be found in the Town Centre by the Town Hall with a short 5 min walk down past the Red Lion PH and down Old Brewery Walk (D5) or in Hinton Road (C5) being 1st left after passing the Tesco /Mercedes GP Roundabout as you enter Brackley off the A43 and pass the Fire Station.
Supporters coaches which arrive after 14.15 and/or have not pre-booked will be charged 25 each if allowed in to the car park which will be dependent on space still being available and safety of arriving spectators not being compromised.

which is fair enough, but we've not had to park on anyone's front lawn or anything, there's been plenty of space.

We do need to start winning games. It will lift morale but more importantly stop us having to look over our shoulder!
I'll go for a 1-2 away win. Brodie and Ledsham to score. Att 490

Given that we have not won in the league since our last trip to Northamptonshire (mid December) - Harrogate is absolutely right! Hopefully we shall see the much needed victory I'm going to go with a 1-0 win with 402 hardy souls there - unless the heavy rain tomorrow takes its toll! But I shall be there!!

I've just looked at the league table for the first time in any depth - 7 points off the drop zone, 9 points from bottom spot, worst form in the division, 3 teams below us all winning midweek. We certainly do need a win!!
If this carries on we will not be looking at trying to get promotion from the National North next term it will be from the Northern Premier as we play the likes of Frickley Athletic, Stourbridge, Barwell and Mickleover Sports.
Time to get winning Jim - we have seen an improvement in the last few games, now that needs to be transferred into points in the bag!

My match preview for Quays News (to be followed by an 'on-the-whistle' report on the day):
*****************************************************************************************************
STOCKPORT County embark upon one of the season’s longer journeys this Saturday - almost down, in fact, to the fringes of National League South country - when they visit Brackley Town (KO 15:00).
County’s trip to St James Park (the Northamptonshire one) will be Jim Gannon’s fourth consecutive League fixture on the road following his return to manage the club nearly five weeks ago.
And, having presided over two goal-less stalemates and a narrow defeat, the new boss will be keen to break his personal duck against the ‘Saints’ (again, the Northamptonshire ones) - as well as securing a first National League North win for County in 2016.
Brackley currently sit in 19th position, five places below the Hatters - and just one above the relegation-trapdoor on goal difference. By winning on two occasions since the turn of the year, the hosts have managed something that County have not - although their other six matches during this time all ended in defeats.
The venue is not an unhappy hunting-ground for the Hatters, either. Indeed, they have yet to concede there - following a no-score draw two seasons ago and a single-goal victory last February, when Jack Ryan’s header proved enough to win the three points.
The most recent meeting between the two sides saw them share the spoils at Edgeley Park, with one goal apiece, in September - a result for which, in all honesty, County probably would have settled after just twelve minutes of the game, when Karl Ledsham received an early red card.
In facing the Saints, County will be likely to come up against a number of players with Football League experience: Captain Ryan Austin once plied his trade for Burton Albion; Matty Lowe and Liam Marsden are on loan from, respectively, Cambridge and Mansfield; while Curtis McDonald (Cardiff), Pablo Mills (Derby and Rotherham), as well as Greg Kaziboni and David Moyo (both Northampton), have also played at the higher level.
One of the Hatters’ own loanees, goalkeeper Dean Henderson, recently extended his stay from Old Trafford for a further month, but has now been recalled there following an injury to David de Gea.
And Brackley may well hand full debuts to two recent signings in winger Courtney Cameron and striker Lee Ndlovu, following their respective transfers from Southport and Ilkeston. Both made appearances as substitutes last Saturday, when the Saints lost at home to Nuneaton by the odd goal in five.
Live updates of the match will be available from our correspondent through County’s official Twitter-feed, @scfcmedia.
Provisional Squads:
Brackley Town: Hornby (GK), Farrell (GK), Austin (C), Morley, McDonald, L Marsden, Clarke, Slade, Kaziboni, Story, Mills, Lowe, Walker, Moyo, Diggin, Batchelor, Odihambo, Graham, S Smith, Winters, Noon, Ndlovu, Cameron.
Stockport County: Ormson (GK), D Smith (GK), Morton, Tonge, Roberts, Connolly, O’Hanlon (C), Smalley, Joyce, Montrose, Rule, Russell, Garvin, C Smith, Holsgrove, Menagh, Ledsham, Odejayi, Evans, J Marsden, Brodie, Anoruo, West.
Referee:
Anthony Da Costa
Assistants:

Seriously important game this Saturday against a team in the relegation zone, a point would be concerning whilst a loss would be absolutely catastrophic!

still being full of cold, rain forecast, county's sparkling form, and the drive being the best part of 3 hours each way means i've jibbed for tomorrow. as always at these moments, i feel a strange combination of treachery and liberation...
good luck to the traveling hatters!

Hope your cold clears up soon, ars. I'll guess you'll now be 'streaming' listening to pure.
As everyone else has said, we've got to start winning games soon. Tomorrow is as good as time as any. County to scrape a 1-0 win.
