Sounds like we're under the cosh from the twitter updates... Wonder if we can finally see a game like this out?

Same old story, Brackley no doubt trying to add to the tension by stirring up said scuffle. I can't bear this.....

dale tonge apparently made a great goal-line block a few minutes ago as well.
...and as i type, ormson has just come for one and missed it, but the ref has blown up so we've hung on!

Montrose needs a serious rocketing for that second yellow, totally unacceptable getting involved when he was already on a yellow, but knowing how long was left it was just ridiculous. A vital, vital first win for Jim. That should settle one or two nerves tonight. Well done, lads.

jon keighren described it as a 'smash and grab' - i'd missed them hitting the bar as well.

Sounds like a fantastic backs-to-the-wall effort by the boys... a hard fought 3 points! I'm sure the resilience we have shown will be pleasing to Jim, the only sour note being Montrose's sending off. In the end it hasn't cost us today, but Jim doesn't tolerate a lack of discipline, and he needs to learn that fast. If Jim decides he can't be relied on to keep his cool and stay on the pitch he could find himself on the way out of the club in the not too distant future.

thirded! i wasn't at all worried about the spectre of relegation. you do eventually have consider form though, with ours being the converse to leicester's...at some point i'd have had to realise that we were in trouble and they're heading for the champions league!
the next two home fixtures should see a reasonable opportunity to notch some points, too. given our recent form, i'd be happy with four points to keep the momentum up.
what i'd also like before the end of the season, and i believe jim can give us, is at least one game where we get the win but a decent performance as well. doesn't have to be a thrashing, but even when we were winning early on this season, i'm struggling to think of a single game in which we played well and eased reasonably comfortably to a win. i know we won 4-0 at corby, but it wasn't actually a performance, just a win.
