GAMEWEEK 3 FIXTURES
Saturday
LAZIO (already eliminated) v JUVENTUS (Sirius)
Sunday
VERONA (already eliminated) v ROMA (Big Fudge) PARMA (BBLW) v UDINESE (already eliminated) SAMPDORIA (already eliminated) v BOLOGNA (Sirius) TORINO (Sir Roger) v ATALANTA (Downy)
Sirius has been handed two away ties - can she keep both teams in the competition? Remember, if you are playing a team already eliminated, a draw is sufficient to keep you in the game.
Only the one fixture featuring two teams still in the competition this gameweek, as Rog's Torino take on Downy's Atalanta. Could the two of you please send me a PM or e-mail by midday Friday with your prediction for the attendance at Birmingham v Swansea on Saturday afternoon (this fixture is in honour of Dudley who had both teams eliminated this week)?
There is a good chance that this coming weekend will see us down to our final few competitors....
Ciao for now!

Torino Head Coach, "Rog" Ventura, was delighted with his teams tremendous win away yesterday. He said" With help from the medical team we were able to get Immobile...mobile and his superb opening goal put us in a strong position for the remainder of the game. I was very impressed with the way "Macc" Di Francesco admitted the better side won". Commenting on the up and coming game at home against Atalanta, Rog said "Downy" Colantuono is a very good manager, (who is currently on a scouting mission in Australia) and we've had many battles over the years" He went on say " With Bonaventura in such good form, we know they will come to us feeling confident, but my team is ready for the encounter and with a full house behind us, we are optimistic of another win"

Come on, sirius, at least I'll be able to say I was beaten by the eventual champion!

Quietly confident of Roma keeping me in it!

Well, Verona have lost their last two without scoring, and Roma have won their last two without conceding, so I'd say it's stacked in your favour at the moment!

Good game this, Sandy, did you say you're going to make this a regular thing?* *I can't be a*sed trawling back through the thread! If people enjoy it, and I can iron out any little niggles, then yep I intend to do it again! The sequel (as referred to in this coming Saturday's County Life) will be "No Spain, No Gain" but I have plans to include most European leagues at some point. The only issue being that a great many leagues have 16 or 18 teams in them, so I either have to drum up a few more competitors and give everyone one team each, or else restrict it to 8 or 9 entrants with two teams each. Fortunately, those good old Spaniards have made the sequel an easy choice!

In his interview in La Gazzetta earlier today, Rog Ventura refused to apologise for his remarks about Downy Colantuono, in which he said . "Sadly, his remark does not surprise me, we have history, he won't let it settle"

Word of advice for the tie breaker. A minimum of 2 as I have to take Junior as grandad has a weekend away in Lisbon.
And boy was he worried when it became apparent it could have been man utd at home!

Thinking about it, just in case more than 2 teams are eliminated this gameweek (since we need to get down to our final 3) could Sirius, Fudgie and Lennie also send me their predictions for the attendance at Birmingham v Swansea on Saturday please? I'll send a PM to each of you just in case you don't read this!
