Buongiorno!
The Gameweek 3 results are in:
Saturday
LAZIO (already eliminated) 1-1 JUVENTUS (Sirius)
Sunday
VERONA (already eliminated) 1-3 ROMA (Big Fudge) PARMA (BBLW) 1-0 UDINESE (already eliminated) SAMPDORIA (already eliminated) 1-1 BOLOGNA (Sirius) TORINO (Sir Roger) 1-0 ATALANTA (Downy)
This means that two away draws for Sirius keeps both of her teams in the competition (just - Juve had Buffon sent off after 24 minutes but Lazio couldn't prevent them equalising with 10 men and then holding on for the draw), and Fudgie, Lennie and Sir Rog all won so their teams stay in too.
But, alas, we bid a fond farewell to Downy, whose Atalanta team were knocked out by Torino.
So, the last 5 teams standing are:
Juventus (Sirius) Roma (Big Fudge) Parma (BBLW) Bologna (Sirius) Torino (Sir Roger)
Gameweek 4 fixtures coming shortly...

Gameweek 4 Fixtures
Saturday
BOLOGNA (Sirius) v UDINESE (already eliminated) AC MILAN (already eliminated) v Torino (Sir Roger)
Sunday
ROMA (Big Fudge) v PARMA (BBLW) JUVENTUS (Sirius) v INTER MILAN (already eliminated)
Due to Fudgie and Lennie's remaining teams meeting each other this weekend, we will definitely be down to 3 after this weekend and so next week will be the finale.
If more than one competitor is eliminated, it will go down to the tie-break to see who stays in.
So, could the 4 remaining ex-cons please let me have their prediction for the attendance at Fulham v Southampton this coming Saturday, by no later than midday Friday?
Thanks again for playing!
Ciao for now.

Nice one.
I think Roma away will be a step too far for my little Palma.
See you by the Trevi Fountain, Fudge. Lunch in Asda ?

It's a good job Parma are away - if they were at home then Fudgie's Roma might accidentally end up in Majorca!!

Just a thought, do Palma play in a violet coloured kit ? Blimey - checked them out - home kit white with a black cross (very knights templar) away kit - blue and yellow quarters (looks like a badly decorated tiled bathroom, a sort of jaundiced Blackburn Rovers)

Is that Parma or Palma you're looking at?!

Interesting development this weekend! Here are the results:
Saturday
BOLOGNA (Sirius) 0-2 UDINESE (already eliminated) - BOLOGNA ELIMINATED AC MILAN (already eliminated)1-1 Torino (Sir Roger)
Sunday
ROMA (Big Fudge) v PARMA (BBLW) - ABANDONED DUE TO WATERLOGGED PITCH JUVENTUS (Sirius) 3-1 INTER MILAN (already eliminated)
So, Bologna (Sirius) are eliminated, but Juventus (Sirius) and Torino (Sir Rog) are through to the final.
With the big fixture of Roma v Parma being abandoned after 8 minutes, I was in two minds about deciding it on the tie-break, but some numpty (Fudgie) never sent me his guess. So, we have a choice. I could eliminate Fudgie by default or, depending on Lennie's view of the situation (and his generosity) we could instead decide it on a coin toss, but it's only fair that Lennie would then get first choice.
What do you think Len?

Go on Len, you KNOW you want to take it to a tie breaker!

Seeing as I expected a good old thumping away to Roma I will be very generous and accept a coin toss. Mainly because I like Fudgie !!! I will go Tails. Sirius seems to have this wrapped up anyway.

Very noble of you Lennie.
Sadly for you, there has arguably been a huge injustice as, having tossed a coin, it came out Heads. As you say, Roma perhaps looked good to win it anyway, but you bow out with your head held high.
Our three finalists are therefore Sirius, Rog and Fudgie!
Details of the grand finale to be revealed shortly!
