THE FINALE!
Ok, so our three finalists, Sirius, Roger, and Fudgie, have got their hands on the gold, and they now need to make their escape through the streets of Turin to try and rendezvous with myself and Big William on the coach.
But only one of them can win.
As they've made it to the final, both of their teams are now reinstated:
Sirius: Juventus and Bologna Roger: Torino and Chievo Fudgie: Livorno and Roma
For the final week, and in a way similar to my latest quiz, they will score points as follows:
1. 3 points if their team wins, 1 point for a draw, none for a loss. 2. They will also score a point for every goal scored by their teams.
However! They will in fact have 4 teams each in the final as I have allocated (using a nifty online number generator thingy which I've just discovered) a co-driver to the three Mini-Coopers that they will be using to make their escape. The three co-drivers are players who have already been eliminated and, once our finalists have chosen their cars, I'll reveal which co-driver is waiting for them and the two additional teams they've added to their collection for the final week.
So, not only did she qualify for the final first, but it's only right we let the lady have first pick, followed by Roger who qualified next and lastly Fudgie who scraped through due to Lennie's generosity.
Sirius - Red, White or Blue?

Right - here we go!
Sirius has, perhaps unsurprisingly, opted for the BLUE Mini Cooper which makes her co-driver.... Gazza!
So, for the final week, Sirius' group consists of:
Juventus Bologna Cagliari Lazio
Sir Roger went next and opted for WHITE which means his co-driver is.... Hatter in Macc!
Rog's group is therefore:
Torino Chievo AC Milan Sassuono
And last, but by no means least (but arguably lucky to be here) is Fudgie who has the RED car and his co-driver is..... Another Ruined Saturday!
Fudgie's group consists of:
Roma Livorno Udinese Genoa
Those all important fixtures will follow. It goes without saying that you want to try and avoid two of your teams playing each other as it minimises the chance of getting points - they can't both win!
Also, the abandonment of Roma v Parma on Sunday took me by surprise (is the weather that bad in Italy at the moment?!) so I've made the executive decision that if a game is postponed or abandoned for any reason, both teams involved will score just one point each (as if it had been a 0-0 draw) regardless of the score at the time the game is abandoned. I hope this is unlikely though.
Right then, the fixtures....

It annoys me when they change the name of products to copy the Yanks. Which reminds me of a joke:
I once entered a marathon. I got caramel and peanuts all over my... no, perhaps not. It's a family forum.
