Just now and again, and despite attempts from various parties to devalue its appeal, the world's oldest tournament has still got it. Maidstone provided a fantastic tale of Cup glory in the earlier rounds - and today's tie was utterly brilliant. Nice one, Cov.

Except later, the NL had a further think, gave Alty the bye, and switched Halifax's hosts from Alty to Solihull.
Fair enough, on the basis of Alty's higher finishing position - but what a shambolic way to go about it...

What next, going against their own rules and allowing a team in admin to stay up while relegating the team that finished 4th from bottom?

Have to feel for Gateshead, after a season of hard graft that saw them make the play-offs on merit - and, given the strength of the National League, by punching above their weight.
The 10-year lease requirement is interesting, too. Wonder what will happen going forward with any existing EFL clubs that find themselves out on the streets, and having for a while to live a nomadic existence, in the way the likes of Brighton and Coventry did?

Awful thing to happen to anyone, Duds, although it looks from the photo as if the car could perhaps have been parked more wisely (i.e. not there) in the first place?
I think that the last time I was ever made an offer by local kids to 'mind' my car was in Brum, when County were at Villa in the League Cup around the mid-'90s! May take the train down next term...

My experience of St Andrews has stopped me from ever going there again, Duds. The game where Killer got sent off, with the 3-0 defeat being the least of the problems of those that travelled with me on that coach. If we'd won that day I dread to wonder if that smashed window was the only damage that would have been done - never again.

There have been problems with exactly the same tactic all season. In fact even before I moved over here there were stories about people who went out for a meal and came back to act like that! I imagine if you were there in an official capacity, you would be able to park in a secure site?

They have more than their fair share of idiots in the fanbase. It was more as a warning to fellow fans if they head down

I wasn't having a dig at you (that would never happen) or the club, just the idiots that made our trip there an experience I'll never forget. It wasn't even a coach full of 'heads', it was kids and couples mostly, some of whom were threatened with arrest by West Midlands Police when they complained to them as we were going into the ground, all they were complaining about was the lack of Police protection while our coach was being attacked.
