Agreed, Gazz. They enjoyed a whopping 6-1 win yesterday, and the situation around securing their ground now sounds a lot more positive than it did a few weeks ago. Hopefully, they have turned a corner.

It has been a dreadful siuation with scunny. At one point they were going to play all their home games at Gainsborough as they were going to lose the ground. Finally, Hilton has left and a new owner, supported by the council and fans (who raised an astonishing £50k in 1 day to pay the staff), is in place. Hilton jumped as an FA investigation into him was well under way. Former Commercial Director, Michelle Harness, takes over with the future looking considerably brighter than last week.

Prediction: Ruben Neves loaned to Newcastle from Al Hilal* before the start of the next season. *Al Hilal owner also owns... Newcastle ...and here it is www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/67363927

It's scandalous that there's no decision yet on our neighbours. I assume the pressure on the FA with Everton came from the teams affected by Everton breaking the rules.

One of the best Edgeley Park has seen - and a thoroughly nice person, too.
Well done, Rebecca, and good luck!

Not a bad strike from a goalkeeper playing as an outfield substitute - and, equally astonishingly, the assist comes from one-game ex-Hatter, Kenan Dünnwald-Turan! www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/67809640

Some goalkeepers have been known to be frustrated strikers. I used to play in an indoor football league back in the 90s and once played a dead rubber game against a team including none other than Andy Dibble, who I'm sure shouldn't have been there but was turning out for his mate's team, playing outfield as a striker (probably to avoid being chucked out as a ringer) - he couldn't half hit the ball too.

Another good strike - and, I think I may be right in saying, a debut on this thread for Stranraer:

That's a belter, Maccy and I think you're right - it probably is Stranraer's first appearance on here.

Cracking, isn't it, matey? We holiday from time to time just a few miles down from Stranraer, and have driven past Stair Park on a few occasions. It looks quite idyllic, set within a public park (rather like Aldershot's is), as well as having the appeal of being a proper geographical outpost of the game. Hopefully, will get to see a match there at a later date.
