Take my hat off to Smith there, he played brilliantly there, Wright is the in-form player. Great match.

What a breath of fresh air South Africa's Devon Petersen has been, he just loves it up there. Good luck to the lad.

Anderson is blowing this, and It's worse because I can't stand van Gerwen, he's a horrible gobby b*****d. If Wayne Mardle got any further up his backside he'd be cleaning his teeth for him.
I just hope Aidy Lewis has turned up for this tournament and can blitz him off the stage in the final. Fat Gurning b*****d.

Simon Whitlock was 4-0 up needing one more set to go through, and Ian White has just squared it up at 4-4 and has the darts, there's no other sport better than this for drama, not even football. Amazing comeback from White, Whitlock looks bewildered.

Simon Whitlock nails D8 to win in the two clear legs decider to go through to the semis, what a match.

Said it before, I'll say it again, Wayne Mardle is bordering on embarrassing with his gushing over van Gerwen.

van Gerwen wins the match and the arena starts playing his walk on music, what's that all about? They've never done that for anyone else before, what happened to the usual sky darts music, are they trying to make this guy champion?

Not to hi-jack the thread but when does the Lakeside Tournament start? It's the only one I really pay a lot of attention to, always backing Tony O'Shea, sadly he always seems one game away!

4th to the 12th Jan, matey. I love darts full stop, so I will be watching the Lakeside championship with every bit as much interest.
COME ON, TONY!

Yes he is, matey, BDO number 4 at the moment. He lives in Holland now I think.
He kicks off his campaign on the 6th Jan v Tony Eccles in the afternoon session, Tony kicks off his assault on the title the day after in the afternoon session against the winner of David Cameron (honest) from Canada v England's Martin Adams.

Despite my run of ruining the chances of Taylor to win it outright and Painter to beat Whitlock, by picking them, am going for Lewis to thrash MVG 6-2 tonight. Lewis has been there and done it, he's matured a lot over the last couple of years, is bang in form and has the upper hand on their recent encounters. Of course, MVG has a great chance too, but basically, I don't really like him.
Whilst it's been a great tournament, Taylor's departure so early on has tarnished it a tad for me.
