Good result. So, win our next two and, by next Sunday afternoon, we'd be above Torquay (who don't play in midweek) on goal difference. Have a feeling that Sutton will be the more difficult of the two to catch, mind... I was thinking that myself Macc.

Sutton have Maidenhead, who have produced a decent result or two lately, and Hartlepool, who must be smarting a bit, to play yet.
So dream on !

It’s all getting very exciting but we must take it game by game. If we don’t beat Dagenham then that’s the auto gone, likewise if we don’t beat Torquay it’s gone as well. We can only hope that Rusk’s men can win both and then beat Woking and Yeovil

I've said it before, but I don't mind repeating myself...
We're more than capable of winning all our remaining games, and that includes any playoff matches that may be added to that list. Automatic or playoffs, it makes no difference, because I honestly believe that we're going up.

Update after Tuesday's disappointing draw with D & R
1 Sutton Utd 78/39 - Maidenhead, Hartlepool and Barnet GD +32 87max points ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2 Torquay Utd 77/39 - COUNTY, Barnet and Alty GD +29 86
3 COUNTY 72/39 - Torquay, Woking and Yeovil GD +36 81 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 4 Hartlepool Utd 70/39 - Aldershot, Sutton and Weymouth GD +20 79
5 Notts Co 63/38 - Bromley, Wrexham, Weymouth, and Bromley. GD +18 75
6 Chesterfield 62/39- Wealdstone, Dag & Red and Halifax. GD +15 71
7 Halifax 62/39 - Dag & Red, Maidenhead and Chesterfield GD +12 71 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 8 Bromley 62/39 - Notts Co, Aldershot and Notts Co GD +8 71 9 Wrexham 61/38 - Boreham Wood, Notts Co, Kings Lynn and Dag & Red. GD +19 73
10 Eastleigh 56/37 - Barnet, Aldershot, Boreham Wood, Alty and Solihull GD +5 71
County nailed on for a play-off place then, kissing goodbye to automatic (almost). Real bun fight for place 6 and 7. Think Notts Co and Hartlepool are safe for the end of season games as well.

Playoffs it is then, disappointing that automatic promotion is pretty much off the cards though I feel very confident about doing it in the playoffs.

Avoid defeat against Torquay on Sunday and then win the next four and we are up. Sounds easy enough...

Sutton vs Hartlepool takes on a new dimension next weekend. Wrexham vs Notts Co (Tuesday) would settle that little issue as well.

Really need to get something out of tomorrow's game, with Hartlepool having leapfrogged us this afternoon.

Really need to get something out of tomorrow's game, with Hartlepool having leapfrogged us this afternoon. Agreed, but nothing less than a win will do, Maccy. It's no good stumbling over the line with draws, we need to go into these playoffs with real gusto, letting everyone else know that we mean business. I'm going for 2-1 County.

After the disappointing 2-2 home draw, I said to my brother (Tranmere Rovers fan, who follows County's results) that we needed to win seven of our last eight games (inc Torquay) to finish in the top three. I still believe it to be so.
After today's results it's more vital than ever to beat Torquay and, as Gaz says, show a statement of intent. I think Torquay will be looking for a victory as well to give them any chance of overtaking Sutton for the title. Maybe it'll be an open and entertaining match? Hopefully no 97th minute winner - unless it's for us!!

Perhaps Sutton will give Hartlepool a beating next weekend. That would now help.
Although if Sutton could manage to lose both their games and we win all three we would indeed have a better goal difference.
I really can't see Barnet (x2) Alty and Weymouth helping the cause though.

Table updated above.
And again after Tuesday's results.
Solihull still have an outside chance of a play off as well, as do Dag and Redbridge.
