Having nothing to do and feeling a bit befuddled after my second covid jab here is the run in for all top 10 teams. (Think we can rule our Aldershot and downward although Maidenhead have 3 games in hand and still have 4 of the top ten to play !
1 Torquay Utd 70pts/36 games - Eastleigh, Chesterfield, Bromley, COUNTY, Barnet and Alty GD +25
2 Sutton Utd 69/35 - Aldershot, Notts Co, Weymouth, Woking, Maidenhead, Hartlepool and Barnet GD +28
3 Hartlepool Utd 67/36 - Chesterfield, Bromley, Naidenhead, Aldershot, Sutton and Weymouth GD +21
4 COUNTY 65/36 - Halifax, Wealdstone, Dag & Red, Torquay, Woking and Yeovil GD +31
5 Halifax 59/36 - COUNTY, Yeovil, Boreham Wood, Dag & Red, Maidenhead and Chesterfield GD +11
6 Chesterfield 56/35- Hartlepool, Torquay, Woking, Kings Lynn, Wealdstone, Dag & Red and Halifax. GD +13
7 Eastleigh 56/36 - Torquay, Alty, Barnet, Aldershot, Boreham Wood, and Solihull GD +7
8 Bromley 55/36 - Hartlepool, Dag &Red, Wealdstone, Notts Co, Aldershot and Notts Co GD +6
9 Wrexham 54/35 - Solihull, Maidenhead, Yeovil, Boreham Wood, Notts Co, Kings Lynn and Dag & Red. GD +15
10 Notts Co 53/34 - Alty, Sutton, Barnet, Maidenhead, Bromley, Wrexham, Weymouth, and Bromley. GD +10
A number of teams figure there a number of times so will have some influence on the overall outcome.
I will edit and update this after each set of games (because I'm a nerd and don't have the promotions and relegation to track this time).
Grimsby Town already on their way back to the Ntional league and it looks odds on that Southend will be joining them.

Good work, Lennie - and one to watch with interest! Have turned this into an 'Announcement', so as to keep it prominent.

Cheers Lennie, this weekend could be pivotal as 6 of the top 7 are playing each other. Only Sutton are not.

Think we have sadly missed the automatic promotion boat with the managerial change. The consolation is we should have play off game(s) with fans present (?).
Thanks Lennie

I've added a goal difference column as I think that could be crucial in the outcome.
The capitulation at Hartlepool and a failure to kick on at Kings Lynn might come back to haunt us as much as a few silly draws against teams from the lower reaches.

No one appears to have an easy run in, either playing teams who are in the play offs now, or just outside, and very few games against the lower echelons of the league. All to play for me thinks - 6 wins for County and then we shall assess at that point as to how well we have done - I do believe this will be our best chance to get out of this league as teams will only get stronger next year and add Grimsby (maybe not too much of a problem - but I guess Mariners will not think that) and almost certainly Southend (te he he) who have very good crowds will think they could get promotion.

If it is down to goal difference in the end, I think we'd have a legitimate case that the two red cards that were subsequently withdrawn were a contributing factor.

On paper, Wrexham have the easiest set of fixtures (only flaky Notts Co to play in the top ten). But they are hit and miss themselves.
Teams like Maidenhead, Alty and Barnet crop up a few times so will be influential.

On the goal difference and with the size of the squad we have, we should have been more ruthless second half.
That said we will beat the Raiders 6-0 as they play their second team.

I know I've said it before, but if we win all of our games until the end of the season, we go up. It's easier said than done, but it's that simple. In my opinion, with the squad that we have at our disposal and with the manager looking a lot more assured both in the dugout and in front of the camera, we are more than capable of doing just that. Setting myself up for a fall? Maybe, but I'll be smug as f*** if we pull it off!
