Where do I start...
Well it was very well attended.
Many constructive questions, with good responses. Very honest from the top table.
The Gibbons regularly threaten to take us to court.
The future of owning the ground was discussed. Being worked at all the time.
20k VAT bill due...looks like RP will be paying it.
Then the agendas kicked in !!
Seems something is a foot, reading YB, with a group that TBH contains the odd good guy, but too many bad eggs for me ever to support in any way...and they gave RP a hard time. Some of their questions were valid TBH, but RP of all people did not deserve what he got and how he got it...after all none of that group are going to pay our VAT bill ! Some really have no idea what the top table do. I am pleased to report RP gave as good as he got, and the general feeling was good on RP for doing so.
It came out that SF pulled out of a deal to wipe debt due to online comments....that caused a fuss !! This really needs to stop. I will tell all reading now he will never play ball if folk continue to call him names and the such. For the good of our club we really need to avoid the subject of SF all together...folk may not agree, but those that continue are possibly directly responsible for SF being awkward about any potential debt wiping deal. At the end of the day SF could be losing a hell lot of money in a deal - a deal we need to happen. I'll leave that there...
The 2nd half of the forum was with AL, and was interesting and constructive.
Biggest point to come out of it was AL is game for the fight next season.
Milligan left for money only.
...and thats it.
All in all, apart from those few heated moments, I think it went well and the majority went away believing we are in good hands, but all realised and accept we need to keep progressing.

Many thanks for that update, 77.
Much appreciated, and I'm really pleased to hear that Alan still has the determination to finish what he's started here. So we should all get behind him.

thanks, since77. always seems a bit far from leeds on a schoolnight so i really appreciate you taking the time to sum it up so quickly. and fully agree gazz. we've been in piss-awful form, but i quite like our squad - and it's the squad that AL built. i'd like him to have another go at it.

Missed Hurst offered a new deal and new playing staff being looked at so we will see some new faces next season.

Missed Hurst offered a new deal and new playing staff being looked at so we will see some new faces next season. Has Hurst accepted the offer? Getting him to stay next season is the top priority as far as playing staff are concerned in my opinion.

Thanks for the update 77.
The board should definitely be open to scrutiny and this is a good example. However, it does need to be balanced and it sounds like there was a fair amount of vitriol, which won't help anyone. I'm getting sick of hearing out such childish behaviour and attitudes. When will people realise we are in the real world? What reason does SF have for giving up his cash? Imagine I lent someone £100 and they came to me to say they couldn't pay it back, and asked if I could cancel the debt. If I said no and they then slagged me off, am I more or less likely to cancel the debt? I'm more likely to start charging interest. We are not in a postion of power here. There is a cliche that comes to mind: The gold rule of management is: the person who holds the gold makes the rules. We're not on the playground. Whingeing: 'It's not fair. He started it, he took my dinner money' doesn't cut it in the real world of business. Anyway, does anyone know what SF's money was used for? I'm certainly no SF apologist, but you need to know before you mouth off. It must have been used for something: bills? wages? tax? stave off adminisrtation? stop a winding up order from HMRC? We must have used it for something. I'm not defending the guy, be we need facts and balance and not childish insults. As I say, the board should be open to question, but I for one have no reason to doubt the integrity of RP and others and believe they are doing everything they can for benefit of the club. Good news about Alan - I'm glad he's got next season. As and when he stops being our manager I hope we do it with dignity. We have a track record of being pretty classless in changing managers! Good news about Hurst - I really hope he signs. Cheers, 77 - keep up the good work, mate.

It seems to me that there is a coup d'état play in motion with some people thinking that their management plan for SCFC is better than the current one.
For me its very simple, This new group has to put their money on the table and if you can buy the club and wipe its debt out then your free to run it how you want. Otherwise its all hot air and ego's.
IMHO trying to turn SCFC is currently like trying to turn a HGV on a village road - unless you've plenty of cash to knock down obstacles its going to take alot of time and carefull movements.
What worries me is that SF can/could recall his loan at anytime and inturn kill off the club - So if SF is not going to get a penny back he could place the club in Administration knowing that he could still be have the last laugh.
Thanks to 77 for your update.

that's brilliant. i've gone back to this a few times over the last couple of years - with all the crap we've been through at county, i've wanted to have some players in who are actually decent human beings. i feel like there's a good few of them now, and mark lees epitomises it.
at brackley, the players come off in the corner and we've shot towards that end in the second half on both our visits. you get trapped there until they've come off and i remember mark lees loudly thanking everyone for travelling last season. he looked chuffed after the win on saturday. i like his recognition of the fact that there were still a decent number turning up a couple of hundred miles from home after the three defeats in the previous week. a lot of players, even those at a lower level, don't seem to understand that. we can probably even forgive him being a city fan.
thanks for posting james.

Dave Espley has released the following information on behalf of the consortium present at the forum last night. Whether you see it as good or bad, or are just not sure what the hell is going on, I think it needed posting here in the interests of balance and democracy: ep4ever.wordpress.com/
