The farewell match before the World Cup.
I see the positive of this game being that Peru will play with a Latin style like Uruguay, Costa Rica and to a lesser extent Italy.
However the negatives outweigh the positives. The team will have been doing altitude and heat training in Portugal yet they have to come back home for a few days.
Peru aren't a World Cup standard team.
We should be playing this game in Peru in a climate much more like Brazils.
Of course I'll be watching like I always do but I expect an England win which we will take very little from. Why not just go the whole hog and play Brazil away.

I'll be watching, and I agree we should be playing games in a similar climate as earlier as is possible. We all know why this one is at Wembley though, it's not so much about the farewell as it is about the moolah.

Lambert is in the squad, but I can't see him playing tonight, not when he's got that medical tomorrow.

Don't think Gerrard should've been booked though. Won the ball. Typical South American theatrics

not much cop at defending set pieces, are they? wasn't looking very good about fifteen minutes ago, but they've put a gloss on it now.

Good goals from Cahill and Jagielka. Great half from England. Nothing to get excited about but professional enough job.

This game sums up England perfectly. Pretty average, relying on set pieces or an odd moment of individual brilliance from a player. In this case we've had both. Usually we are lucky if we get one. Uninspiring stuff, but I'm watching it anyway - which sums up the plight of most England fans.

Wilshere is such a talented footballer, a real unlocker of defences, shame he'll get injured about half an hour into the first game in Brazil.
Of all those on the plane, only Sturridge, Sterling and Barkley give me any hope of getting anything at this tournament. I'd add Wilshere at the top of that little list, but as I said, he'll not get to half time against Italy before twisting his ankle on his own shadow.

I said it before and I'll say it again. If he's used correctly Danny Welbeck could be huge for us! Today he showed why he is a player that is so hard to get off the ball and he can make a chance from nothing
