Sorry Fudge, disagree with you on Welbeck. I think he's a headless chicken.

Think he looks like one certainly but I think he looks a lot like Kevin Francis does in the old videos I've seen. He's so tall and long legged that he looks like he's about to lose it every time but keeps going and going and if you watch just him you'll see how many problems he causes for defences!
Just my opinion anyway, to each his own eh Jimbo!

I think he's a lot quicker than Kev was, but shorter, more lightweight, and worse in the air. I'm just not sure what the game plan is with him: He's not going to win headers, he's not going to get crosses in, and he's not going to pick a pass around the box. The England team seemed to be moving away from workmanlike players who cover a lot of ground and towards less predictable players with real skill who can win a game, so I was pretty disappointed to see he is still being given a place in the first 11. He doesn't contribute anything like what Sterling can, and has hardly played this season. If he didn't play for M*n *n***d I don't think he'd look out of place at a bottom-of-the-table struggler.
Having said that, if he scruffs in a couple of goals off his shins in the World Cup, I'll be very happy!

Agree with all of that, especially the bit in bold. We need doers, not tryers. As some piece of latex once said with Frank Oz's fist up it's a**e: “Do. Or do not. There is no try.”
