Rumour has it we are hosting Aldershot in the replay which is being televised. On COWS the next fixture is Sutton. You can't make it up.

One can't, Ceefs. But what we can do is turn this into the Match Thread! Post it all here...

Just looked on the official county site to see how many tickets are available for tomorrow. Can’t even find them to buy! What’s happening. The match isn’t listed in our fixtures. Is it even happening or is it just for TV?

Anyone else getting the feeling that the BBC team want Aldershot to win tonight?
I shouldn't expect anything less really, impartiality isn't one of the Beebs strongest points.

The bias in this commentary really is appalling.
Macca has made some important interceptions, but we're not playing well at all. Aldershot are masters at winning free-kicks, it has to be said and the referee is falling for it - no pun intended.
He's giving us nothing.

Macca has been our best player so far for me. There's been some very poor passing from us, though and we should have taken our chances.

Not 1 player looked up for that tonight. 0 shots on target in the 2nd half!! Tanto is awful, Madden past it, Croasdale is too slow, long ball after long ball. We look a million miles away from a few weeks ago. Seriously annoyed with the lack of effort tonight.

No complaints with the result, we were sh*te. No speed, no creativity, so poor. Do we know what a counter attack is? We spend so much time kicking the ball backwards.....
We really do need to strengthen in the January window.
Wilson out!

Congrats to Aldershot on an excellent performance - they looked like a really good outfit and deserved to go through.

Congrats to Aldershot on an excellent performance - they looked like a really good outfit and deserved to go through. They can play, but they're a bunch of niggly bleeders - especially that Stokes. We were much more worse than they were good, simple as that really.

Macca was the standout in that first half, cutting out at least two goalscoring opportunities and getting forward and provided a peach of a cross that should have been a goal, if only Tanto had an ounce of awareness - Tanto was among those that were bloody awful tonight. Macca can keep himself out of the circle of shame in that dressing room in my opinion.

Speaking of whom, I hope he's going to be okay for Sutton. Any news in the press box, Maccy?

I've just seen DC's post-match and he's said nobody comes out with any credit.
I know I'm probably coming across all fanboy, but I'm saying it as I genuinely saw it that Macca had a good first half, prevented two goalscoring opportunities and - had Tanto timed his run better than a junior school kid - would have had an assist to boot.
He went off in the second half, so can't really be judged on that half. With this in mind, I think DC is wrong by saying nobody's coming out of that game with any credit, because Macca, along with Camps, most definitely did.
I get that he's pissed off and has a right to be, but he's being seriously unfair there.

Not posted for a while but felt compelled after last night’s result. If you consider both matches they did more than enough to win the first match or finish it off last night. Firstly, listening to DC’s post match interview he was very critical of the whole team. Agree not at their best but to say the worst he has seen is deflecting from his own responsibilities. Couldn’t understand why Whooton was the target man on the halfway line only to loose more balls than he distributed which prevented him trying to get up front to provide a threat. These players spend more time in reverse than going forward. Have they been watching old England games. Agree MSH was one of the better performances but he hasn’t been his old self for a long while. Why do players not move down the touch line & take on players. Camps came down the right wing in the second half only to stop half way & check back. It was obvious that a through ball could make a difference but that wasn’t tried very often. When we stretched the play they looked vulnerable. Aldershot are a very well drilled side & can certainly move the ball well. Far stronger on the ball than us & played to the referee as most teams do with positive results. In DC’s post match interview after Morecambe he said the players aren’t listening to instructions on & off the field. WHY is that? One thing he said last night is true the lack of quality is not there on the bench & what a big hole is left with the current injured players. One BIG positive is we’re still top of the league & six points clear. Sutton will be a big test for many reasons.
