I couldn't watch extra time and then pens, I went and read a book, just because I couldn't bear the nerves. County should have had that won a couple of times, once again look at the conversion of shots vs shots on target.
Interesting couple of weeks coming up, the retained list may contain a few surprises and hopefully we'll make a couple of new signings, especially a target man up front.

In the immediate aftermath it's just feeling like one massive missed opportunity, but I'm sure at some point I'll look back on this and see it as a very good first season back in the football league. Right now, though, I'm just loading up with Captain Morgan and going through my list of excuses for my workmates tomorrow.  |

Missing that header for 2-0 was a turning point. Lucky to take it to extra time after Carlisle bossed us.
A step too far and Sarc and Paddy were needed for the pens, in my opinion.
But, we go again. We have missed Woots up front in the last few games and that slow start to the season cost us dearly in the end.
Wrexham, Notts Co , Gillingham , Mansfield and Salford will need to be dispatched next time. So it's no given. A great first season back but a chance to kick on with the majority of the side still capable of one more effort at this level. Think we would have needed to ship a few in League 1.
