Fabulous, tense report Duds and an even better result.
What a great outcome for the boys. Best of luck for next year.

I bought some vinyl on Discogs from a guy in Murcia only a week or so ago, Duds - I wonder if this counts as a lucky omen?!

Yeah thanks. Murcia was about the extent of our road trip options. Just a four hour drive away… Planning to be there for the County next month?! If I had a car to make the four hour drive maybe! But the train is longer at least 10 hours!

But the train is longer at least 10 hours! It can take me that from Stockport to Lime Street on a good day! ![](http://i.imgur.com/hGCBvip.gif)

Fantastic news Duds and glad you were able to follow it. Congratulations to the team and hope the celebrations went well. Open top bus?
Which league to they go into now?
Enjoy the sun.
We are in RFEF 2 one of five regional divisions at the fourth tier. The third tier RFEF 1 has two divisions (Malaga are at this level after relegation!) Thanks Duds, a huge achievement. Cheers for the reports. Good luck next season.

Final post for this season, on Tuesday there was a celebration at the ground and the sporting director as part of his thank you speech greeted the Frente Paleño (the die-hard traditional fans of the club) sitting to our right; then the JuventudPaleño (the recently set up by him young ‘ultras’) throwing firecrackers and jumping around to our left and then he looked straight at us and said and also the El Palo Inglés and we stood and accepted applause from our fellow fans. What a proud moment!

As the new season approaches down here in the sunny zone, a quick update! Personally the summer has gone very well. I am now happily married to my Spanish lady. We got married in Madrid and have a beach party planned for October when it is a bit cooler here! In other news my mum, who I mentioned before the summer wasn’t too good, is now on the mend. She had a cyst the size of a golf ball on her spine. Waiting for an appointment on the NHS to receive a prognosis would have taken four months and the subsequent operation another twelve to fourteen months. Fortunately my parents were in a position to be able to pay and so she was successfully treated within three weeks. She said the saddest thing for her was thinking of all those people who couldn’t afford it and have to wait so long. The pain was chronic and she could barely eat or move. Imagine having to wait a year and a half to get it fixed… She would have been an invalid before she got treatment. Bloody Tories…. Next post will be about football!

Many congratulations to you and your wife, Duds - I'm really pleased for you, mate!
I'm also pleased to read that your Mum is now getting better, which is absolutely fantastic news.
Your folks did absolutely the right thing, mate, as that waiting list is just way too long and as you say, she could well have caused further damage by waiting.
We need the NHS fixing, but if that's ever going to be possible it's going to take a long time, so if you can afford to avoid the waiting list for operations of that kind, then it's a no-brainer.
There's also the added benefit of there being one less person on the waiting list.
