Yeovil v Halifax - the football equivalent of having a face for radio. Good grief. Yeovil couldn't even score a 4v1 break and they were the better side! Halifax manager sent off at the end as well.

That's brilliant! I wonder what Rusk would be handing out, plastic fruit, perhaps? It looks better than it actually is!

All 100% records ended today, most surprisingly at Dagenham where they could only draw against visitors Wealdstone. Chesterfield conceded deep into stoppage time to end up 2-2 with Bromley.
It was a day of comebacks overall though.
Notts were 2-1 down but overcame Aldershot 3-2, as was the case with Alty's win over Dover.
Wrexham came from 2-0 down to draw at Southend, whose opening goal was scored by Sam Dalby.
Grimsby came from 3-1 down to beat Barnet 4-3.
Maidenhead fell short of their own comeback as they could only return 3 goals in their 4-3 home loss against Torquay, the away side being 4-0 up at half time!

A few matches of note tomorrow:
Woking take their 100% away record (2 from 2) to Wrexham.
Bromley's 100% home record (ok, 1 win from 1!) faces Boreham Wood's 100% away record.
Having lost both home games so far, Torquay will host unbeaten Grimsby.
The BT 5.20pm kickoff sees King's Lynn hosting The Daggers.
A couple of youngsters from the Championship have been taken on loan this week by NL clubs (Grimsby and Halifax) until January.

A 1st half goal for Wrexham was enough to beat travelling Woking. The home side's substitute (Jones, of course!) was sent off 20 minutes after coming off the bench.
After teasing their fans by taking an early lead against Grimsby, Torquay ultimately sent them home unhappy once more as they went on to concede 3. That takes their home concessions to 10 from 3 games with no home points yet!
Bromley twice equalised at home to Boreham Wood, but a 90th minute goal from the visitors settled it.
Both Chesterfield (v Dover) and Notts (v Weymouth) could only draw away, the former surely seeing that at 2 points dropped.
In the evening game, The Daggers again started slowly but the naivety of King's Lynn, coupled with good finishing, was enough to see the points head back with Daryl McMahon's men.
Away at Wealdstone, Alty saw a straight red in the 90+8 minute and lost to a 90+11 penalty! Who would be a football manager/player/supporter?!

Woking's games against Bromley (tomorrow) and Chesterfield (Saturday) have been postponed due to COVID.
Altrincham's games against King's Lynn (tomorrow) and Yeovil (Saturday) have suffered the same fate.
Yeovil will now host Chesterfield on Saturday.

Grimsby came from behind to run out 3-1 winners at home to Wrexham.
Comeback kings The Daggers came from behind twice before scoring another 2 goals in 6 minutes late on in their 4-2 win over Weymouth.
Torquay continued their bad start, losing away at Solihull - Jimmy Ball got his first minutes of the season for the hosts, coming on as a sub late on.
Tshimanga scored a hattrick (2 penalties) in Chesterfield's win over Barnet.
Notts County beat visitors Wealdstone and have matched their best unbeaten start since 2007 (source: journo Thomas Feaheny).
Aldershot got their first points of the season in an away win over Southend, who, like us, have a draw and 2 losses at home so far.
Across the 9 fixtures there were 40 goals, with us being the single clean sheet.

Looking ahead to the weekend...
Chesterfield (at home to Torquay and live on BT), Grimsby (away at Maidenhead) and Notts (away at Alty) will be putting their unbeaten records to the test once more.
Aside from our game, the 'stand-out' might be The Daggers hosting Solihull. Both sides have lost just one this season and sit in 2nd and 7th respectively going into the game.

In the televised game, Torquay did a '2020/21 Torquay' and found 2 late goals to draw away at Chesterfield, a result which stopped Chesterfield taking top spot.
'Big name' rivals for top spots dropped points elsewhere too; Alty had an excellent 1-0 home win over Notts (who lost for the 1st time) and our neighbours now sit 2 points behind us with 3 games in hand. Maidenhead were able to draw at home with Grimsby which was a good result for them and us.
Jimmy Ball scored the opening goal for Solihull away at The Daggers - a side often starting games slow - but it was the home side coming away with the 3 points, scoring 5 in reply... not as contested as I thought!
Boreham Wood continued their good start and unbeaten home run with a win over Yeovil, while Bromley's win at Dover puts them a point behind us with 2 games in hand.
Halifax secured their 5th win of the season (at Aldershot, who we play after Weymouth) and are on a little run of 10 points from their last 4 games.
Our next opponents, Weymouth, lost at Barnet and are on a bad run of 2 points from their last 4.

Both Chesterfield (v Woking) and Grimsby (v Bromley) suffered their first defeats of the season tonight. We slip two places to 11th as Bromley move into 7th with a game in hand on us and Alty's win against King's Lynn puts them into 8th with 2 in hand on us.

We really need to start putting a run together, with anything less than a win on Saturday being cause for some real concern.
