Sad to see Bully and Sam Walker move on, although completely understand it. JG talks about their impact and character and that was so noticeable - from the undoubted leadership qualities Bully displays to Sam overcoming a terrible first season to win Players' Player of the Year in the Championship season.
They never shirked a thing and you knew that would do whatever they could to get us over the line. It's easy to notice, because he's on set-pieces, that Walker has a quality left foot... but he made countless tackles and won header after header in front of the back line. The moment one of ours got a bad challenge, Bully was straight in to look out for his mate.
In isolation, the demands for mobility across the pitch and looking ahead to players to play L2 football should make the decision 'easy' but when you consider the people themselves, it was no doubt quite gut-wrenching to let them go, and it looked that way in JG's interview.
They've been an absolutely credit to County and, as said, I'm sure Bully will be back at some point in the future. Good luck to them both; they've been hugely important in getting us out of the NLN and stable in the NL.

With a scheduled restart of early September this means Jim has got 6 weeks to knit this team together. Anyone know where we are training? I know the owners said it was something they were hoping to sort out.

Wow, now that is a signing! Let's hope he continues his good form for County. I'm looking forward to going into work tomorrow. I work with a couple of Barrow supporters who've been taking the piss for weeks. They'll not stay up if they can't prevent their best players leaving for bigger clubs!
