Decent signing, but let's not get into that "Rooney, Rooney" chant, please - it's only recently that I've been able to talk openly about that "ooh, ah, Cantona" nonsense!

Another promising addition. And really good to think of our now having a proper forward line! Cheers for posting, Gazz.

Any news on new GK’s? Definitely an area we’re light on?

Any news on new GK’s? Definitely an area we’re light on? Welcome aboard, footiefan and thanks for joining! We definitely need to bring in some quality cover for Ben, so hopefully there'll be some news on that front soon.

Welcome footiefan.
Hopefully Ben will now be full time instead of part time.
I reckon we will take out loan keeper as back up.
Either way we need a decent back up who can keep Ben on his toes providing competition for the no. 1 spot.
The ideal GK would have been Ormson for his precision goal kicks and his penalty saves combined with Ben's commanding the box and general saving ability.
Pleased so far with the new signings and looking forward to the new season even if it is on a pay per view basis.
Not counting chickens but we should have a healthy goal difference, and the hopefully our GK won't be troubled too much.

The only problem with a loan keeper is that he and especially his manager will want regular football, otherwise what's the point in sending him out? With this in mind, we may struggle to bring in anyone of genuine quality, if they're only going to be a backup.
Assuming Ben is going to be the main man, of course.

Heard we have 2 young gks on trial; ex-Bradford youngster and ex-u23 championship keeper. Hopefully able to make the grade and push Ben to deliver same top draw performances as last season.

That's probably the best way to go about it, mate. The only way I can see us being able to bring in a starting XI standard loan keeper, is if our first choice is injured and we need someone to come in and start matches.

I think it's Mon-Wed-Fri this week and next week at EP then full time from beginning of August at the new training ground (fingers crossed)

I think the full-time training regime would have made a noticeable difference to last season's squad, so we should expect a significant improvement in performance level with the players we've retained, with the new signings hopefully giving us that extra push towards the FL.

Agree Gazz, plus time in yraini to sort out the tactics, formations, set plays, and develop the younger retained players like Nyall Bell and also to bring on Reid and Kitching.
I think we will see a huge difference in play.
Exciting times.
