Another game, another chance to try and win against West Midlands opponents... or, erm, Spa-rring partners on this occasion!
Post your predictions, theories, rants and any better puns here...

No points for County this weekend. You can't beat Lamingtons. Attachments:

Broke my finger against Leamington AP Reserves in a cup match in 1978 playing for GEC Coventry. Hope we give them a pasting in revenge. Not that I am bitter and twisted about it (we won 4-3 after extra time).

Pre match DRINK! anyone? Ground CV33 9SA in Harbury Lane tells you already it's more in Harbury than Leamington. 2014 Good Beer Guide entry (page 475) Old New Inn is at CV33 9LS is only 5 mins in car but bizarrely according to Bing maps 54 mins on foot. Any road, seems nearest good pub to ground. Has my beloved Church End beer plus guests. No mentioned of food options though. Anyone up for a pint or two? Do you think we can still get to the ground rather than bother with park and ride scheme? Surely with space for 350 cars we could get in? Other alternative is to leave the car at the pub and taxi share there and back (shouldn't be too expensive if travelling time only 5 mins).
Thoughts?

First 15 mins crucial. Keep possession, find the spaces, clinical finishing.
4-1 County
Howard, Dennis, Battersby and Jevons

Other alternative is to leave the car at the pub and taxi share there and back (shouldn't be too expensive if travelling time only 5 mins). Thoughts? Despite the name of the road it is on, the ground is not in Harbury which is a separate district completely. You might want to input the correct Club postcode of CV33 9QB into your search engine. Harbury is a very large village. The Old New Inn is a pretty, real ale pub, 2½ miles from the ground. It is definitely a 'local' pub in all senses of the word. From what I recall it doesn't do food excepting a wide variety of bar-snacks. The pub car-park is tight and holds around a dozen cars. With SKY Sports and what not it could be busy of a Saturday. I would advise against leaving the car not for safety but because of the taxi situation. Taxis are based in town and have to come from up to 6 miles away (and bizarrely some taxi drivers still might not know where the ground is!). Alternatively, The Leopard (Bishop's Tachbrook) and The Heathcote Inn (Whitnash) are also 2½ miles away in the right district and with larger car-parks. Both do food but are a bit pricey for my personal taste: you won't get much change from £3.50/pint (£3.20 is about the going rate in most pubs for an ale, rising to around £3.60 for that yellow European pi**-water). Just around the corner from The Heathcote Inn is The Royal Horse (Warwick Gates). It's part of the Hungry Horse chain so you know exactly what you'll be getting. Greene King IPA (probably smooth-cack) is the only ale, however. There are plenty of good pubs in town that serve real ale and the Park and Ride doesn't have to be taken. Whilst there is space for 350 cars this may be a good weather capcaity. I can't imagine the practice pitch will be available to park on at the moment so that number might be considerably lower (I honestly don't know): 350 does seem way more than I would imagine. The Car Park is usually full at a crowd capacity of around 850. Once full cars will be turned away and there is no street parking anywhere remotely close. If you change your mind and decide to head for Town for suppage (10 minutes away) you won't be disappointed. Pub names and types available if anyone needs them. I will check back here throughout the day. Otherwise, enjoy your trip.

Hopeful for a good result tomorrow. A clean sheet would be good. A regulation 0-1 will do nicely, thank you.

Thanks very much for the info, simesy. I won't be there myself, but I'm sure your information will come in handy for those that will be. Cheers for taking the time, mate. All the best for the rest of the season, after full-time tomorrow obviously.
