Mantack confirmed on a short-term deal: www.stockportcounty.com/mantack-signs-up/Seemed to attend a lot of matches after his injury, so hopefully he feels a strong connection to the club and wants to contribute.

Jim moving quickly to replace Dux. Good move, but shouldn't be needed - that tackle on him was appalling.

It was a horrible challenge by Heslop - which, even from the press box on the other side of the ground, looked at the time as if it should have earned him a straight red.
Welcome to Josh. But, at the same time, speedy recovery, Dux.

Amazed it’s only 4-6 weeks to be honest.

On the bright side, a fair few Salford fans on social media are bemoaning their temporary loss of Askew - who played in most of Salford's matches last term, and sounds as if, like Dux, he is a decent prospect going forward as well as in defence.
Good on Jim and the club for acting quickly and bringing him in.

All I know about him was this straight red tackle against Chorley after coming on as sub!
Anyway, good luck to him during his spell. When you only have one natural player for a position, it's just the luck to see him injured... and before Mantack is even nearly up to speed in his own recovery either.

Which suggests to me that this could also have been a planned 'nobbling', which is even more disgraceful if he was instructed to do so.

It wouldn't surprise me. Mantack's one last season v Alfreton looked for all the world like a HT team talk that had told the players to rough it up. Within 3 minutes of the re-start his season was ended.

Thats good news , really pleased for him - he's very approachable and has a chat. You can see he loves the club.

Is it time for Sandy to offer 'tackle leading to serious injury' litigation?
In this league he'd be in court every week...
