Good to think that we can find these unpolished bits of talent and develop them to a standard where EFL clubs are interested.
That has to encourage other younger players to come to County and prove their worth.

Good luck to Jason and hope he makes it higher up the FL ladder.

yeah that's it in our current incarnation. we just have to shrug our shoulders (or briefly allow ourselves to slump them at yet another indignity) and move on. every season. every time there's somebody with the tiniest bit of stardust in their boots.
easy to post good words about the club when you're as articulate a man as oswell, but best of luck to him - we have to show players that they can still go places while staying put. their careers aren't forever, so many of them won't be prepared to hang about with us in the dunces class.

Very well put, mate.

Looks, from that, as if Mantack is properly back in the fold?

I know I've asked this previously, but has Jim named his skipper yet?

With no cover at LB, perhaps Mantack (who played a bit there while on loan, most notably in the Southport FA Trophy replay) is being kept in the picture - non-contract perhaps?
On the captaincy, it appears to be Turnbull but not seen anything confirmed officially. Captaincy has been a bit of a weakspot the last two seasons with both Ross and Winter not really being guaranteed starters (for whatever reason) across a season.

Turnbull has started all of the friendlies wearing the armband, so I am guessing that he will be captain - although both Keane and Palmer look, from their general performance and presence on the field to date, as if they will be in the mix if a deputy is ever needed.

Jordan Downing looking a shadow of his former self in the gallery there...
