Sometimes Dudley I just don't get you at all.
At times it's like you're speaking a foreign language

At the (kind of) half-way stage, here are the scores:
Friday
Getafe (Senor Dudley) 3-3 Granada (eliminated)
Saturday
Levante (Senor Epworth) 0-1 Celta de Vigo (Senor Dudley) Malaga (eliminated) 0-1 Real Madrid (Senor Benno) Atletico Madrid (Senor Epworth) 1-0 Espanyol (eliminated)
Making the current scores
Senor Epworth - 4 points Senor Benno - 4 points Senor Dudley - 8 points
Don't forget though, Benno has only played one game whereas Eppy and Dudders have played 2. Benno and Dudders both complete their points total later today whereas Eppy has to wait until tomorrow night to see how Athletic Bilbao get on - but will know by then what is required of them to claim the title!

Well, yes, quite.
As Senor Smug has already pointed out, today's scores are as follows: Elche (eliminated) 0-0 Real Betis (Senor Benno) Barcelona (eliminated) 7-0 Osasuna (Senor Benno) Sevilla (Senor Dudley) 4-1 Valladolid (eliminated)
Which takes the current scores to:
Senor Epworth - 4 Senor Benno - 5 Senor Smug - 15
So, Benno is out of the running, and it will take an 8-0 away victory from Athletic Bilbao tomorrow night for Senor Epworth to draw level and a 9-0 victory for him to win.
Still, the fat Spanish lady hasn't technically sung yet...

And there we have it. Although it was unlikely that Bilbao would get an 8-0 or 9-0 victory, you can't say the ref didn't try and give them a helping hand, awarding them a penalty (which they missed) and reducing Villareal to 10 men just after the hour.
Still, Bilbao couldn't capitalise and it ended 1-1, giving them 2 points and Epworth a score of 6 in total. Enough to claim second place, but not even close to Dudley's score who wins No Spain, No Gain by a landslide.
Well done Senor Duds!
Stay tuned for the next instalment which will be announced next week with any luck (still working from home with Pox Boy at the moment)
Thanks everyone for playing.
Sandy
