I'm with you Gazza, I've been one of Ormson's biggest critics and he's making me eat my words in a big way and I couldn't be happier as well!

Yes, something has really clicked with Ormson in recent weeks. And I definitely subscribe to the theory that a decent team or run of form starts with the goalkeeper! Even in defeat against Hednesford, he put in a good shift (and couldn't be faulted for any of the goals conceded there).
He has always been a good shot-stopper, but now appears a great deal more confident when taking hold of the ball, too. He was arguably Man of the Match for the second game running last night, and, whilst, as mhh mentioned, every player contibuted to the team effort, Ormson's performance was all the more commendable given the gluepot-like goalmouth conditions!
Another player who impressed me yesterday was Mark Lees. He is a no-frills type of central defender, but quietly and effectively gets on with his job - and, last night, looked very steady in the face of a forward line that has been extremely prolific of late.
I had rather forgotten quite how far it is to drive to Boston, and felt decidely bleary-eyed first thing this morning, but, as goal-less draws go, it was well worth the price of diesel - and most definitely a sign of how much more committed to the County cause the current line-up of players now is. Boston will be there or thereabouts at the end of the current campaign. And, if we can keep the squad we have, augmented in some modest way, then so, too, will County a year hence.

unfortunately a minority use beer and football as an excuse to act like pricks. good on the lad - hopefully it's been a proving ground that he's coming out of flying.

good to hear the positive noises from macca and mhh too. i almost daren't say 'promising' after the number of times we've mistakenly got our hopes up over the last few seasons, so i'll settle for a pleased smiley:

i can only assume that the kn*bs are plastic turds. proper fans don't behave in that way, but you always get the annual village idiots' outing to the local games.

I'm embarrassed to say I know the guy who threw the plastic turd, he did get disciplined off the club though, rightly so!
The whole team seem to be clicking more and more recently, Lordy has well and truly got rid of the loafers!

Which is why Alan should be the manager, regardless of whether or not Jim is coming back or not. Bold statement maybe, but we need to keep this progress going, and Alan has earned the right to be County's main man.

well i love to preach stability, and AL is a bloke who wants to be at county, has the connections and the eye for young talent (not meant to sound as wrong as it does), is prepared to put the young lads in, is getting results from his team. i'm interested to see what he will do in terms of rebuilding over the summer, and hope he gets the opportunity.
