Pure are saying that County were knocking the ball around nicely. Shame that we didn't score. Ah well - roll on Saturday! Over and out from me

Good away point all told. Seems like Ormson earned his crust tonight. Confidence improving and another clean sheet. Onward and upward. Go Go Go County. Well done Radio Macca. Have a safe journey home.

Just in from a cold York Street - what a gritty performance from the lads, no one in my opinion had a bad game. Lots of positives to take forward to Worcester on Saturday. Ormson made a fine double save from the penalty, which was no less than he and we deserved. He was rock! Back 4 looked fairly solid and to be honest any team that can stop a free scoring team like Boston from scoring is doing well. Midfield - fairly tight, did enough to harry the Boston players and certainly managed to play a few nice balls through to the front Strikers - all worked hard - Dennis and Moke especially looked good, thought Dicko did not really do that much once on - but when Boston withdraw two small players and replace them with 6 footers in the last 10 minutes - there was obviously a few worries in their camp. The other point to make was Boston's man of the match was their left back - who I thought did not have a good game, brought down Moke about three times, got booked and looks like he foul throws every time This was a good performance, well worthy of the point (it could have been more) but I will settle for it. Macc and I were talking and agreed you can really see how the team is playing for each other and they all seem to know what is expected of them - Lordy has got a formation that works, lets hope they can all stay fit for the season and we don't lose too many of them to other clubs because this has the making of a good team next season.

Happy with that point. Boston battered us at our place first game of the season so a battling draw will do nicely.
Props to Lordy and lads - keep going boys. Special mention for Ian Ormson - it takes balls of steel to overcome the cr*p he's had directed at him and overcome it to start to fulfil his potential as he seems to be doing now. Chuffed for the lad.

Thanks Team Radio Macc for the live updates last night and to mhh for the report.
It's a good article on the Boston website with lots of praise for County players (rather than the really biased stuff you often get).
Pleased for Ormson and pleased that Lord's faith in him is being repaid. The fact that Lord can motivate and inspire young players to deliver good performances is a quality we are probably going to need in spades in the coming seasons!

Chuffed for the lad. This ^^ I had been told by the guy who I sit behind on match days that when he was dropped last season, he'd asked to be because of the abuse he had been getting. If this is true, then it emphasises your 'balls of steel' comment even further! I have been openly critical of him on here, but I also said that I would love him to prove me wrong, and here we are! Words being eaten as I type this, and there is nobody more chuffed for him than me. Well done, Ian. This is one doubter that you've put firmly in his place, keep it going! I can honestly say that I would never shout abuse at one of our players, on the field or otherwise. I have never understood that mentality, and I hate hearing it going on round me, what do the people doing it expect it to achieve? No matter how much money they spend watching County, shouting abuse at our own players is not support.
