Remember.....Remember......those Dates in December !
Yes....unbelievably perhaps....winter does not officially start until this Thursday , but ....thinking ahead we would like to underline some important dates and events ahead of us at this busy time!
Saturday 10 December 2016- FA Trophy County v Darlo orMarine. First Round Proper in what could be a nice little earner for the Club! Saturday 17 December 2016 County play Altrincham looking for a double after the 3-2 victory at their place earlier in the season.
Appeal for Memorabilia- Shirts, hats, scarves etc in aid of the Guardian Account For both the above fixtures, the Supporters Cooperative will be in the Cheadle End Cabin as usual, from 1.30 to 2.30, taking membership sign up's and renewals . Another regular feature of Saturday's in the Cabin is the sale of good quality County memorabilia, the proceeds of which go 100% to the Guardian Account. The items we re-sell are mainly shirts, match worn or not...signed or not, but also scarves, hats etc , and we are making an appeal now for fresh donations of any of the above mentioned items, which you can leave with us on match days twixt 1.30 and 2.30 in the Cabin. The sale of shirts etc in the Cabin has made a valuable contribution to pushing the Guardian Account over £30500, and with your support we hope to continue this trend!
Wellspring Rucksack Appeal.-17 and 18 December 2016.
We are supporting the Wellspring winter effort to aid Stockport's homeless, and we are putting our support behind the Wellspring Rucksack Appeal again.

Before the Carol Concert though, the Supporters Cooperative is staging its annual `Christmas Cavort' which this year is being held at the Spinning Top near the Garrick Theatre on the A6. Entry is free, and there will be food...fun...frolics...and music to set you up nicely for the Xmas period, as well as earning money for the Guardian Account via Mike's generous donation from takings on the evening! The Guardian Account has now gone beyond £30500 thanks to your support.
In an attempt to maintain momentum in this respect , the Supporters Cooperative are appealing for donations of County memorabilia for re-sale in the Cheadle End Cabin in support of the Guardian Account.
We are looking for County shirts, signed or not/ match worn or not, and also hats, scarves, football boots and general sporting ware.
We have a few items for the younger supporters in the cabin( see photo), but would particularly be interested in any County clothing items aimed at younger age groups.
We are in the Cabin on Saturday match days from 1.30 until 2.30 to receive donations of memorabilia, starting with Saturday's upcoming FA Trophy game .
Your support is greatly appreciated.

Saturday....Saturday.............
So ...another Saturday.... and another chance to get down to Edgeley Park and cheer on County as they face giant killing Marine in the First Round of the FA Trophy.
Before that however you might like to bob into the Bungalow , where ,from around 1 o'clock Help the Hatters will be waiting to greet you ahead of putting the Players Fund Pods out around EP. This is a great pre match opportunity to relax and have a pint with fellow County fans whilst earning 50p per pint for the Players Fund.
From 1.30 until 2.30 , you will find the Supporters Cooperative in the Cheadle End Cabin taking sign- ups and renewal memberships.
In addition we will be offering some neat County shirts( priced attractively at £10/ £ signed numbered shirts£15) and taking donations of Memorabilia- (Shirts, hats, scarves etc) in aid of the Guardian Account.
We will also be taking donations to Wellspring Rucksack Appeal.- in support of Stockport's homeless. The items that the Wellspring are looking for in the Rucksack Appeal are Rucksacks, hats, scarves and gloves, undies, flasks, fleeces/jumpers, sleeping bags, tins of beans, soup etc. So...if you can donate any of these items , please drop them off tomorrow before the game.
As usual following the game County supporters are encouraged to call in at the Spinning Top, near the Garrick Theatre on the A6. You will find this top Stockport bar a fine place in which to sample good real ale, including the Supporters Cooperative inspired `County Co-Hop'. Mike the landlord is again donating a generous 10% from takings twixt 5 and 8 pm to the Guardian Account, so it makes perfect sense to bob along up the A6 after the game and say hello! And.....after 9 at the ST..... there's some excellent music to enjoy if you stay on as many County fans do . This Saturday it is `Road Tested' who are booked to give of their best for your enjoyment! Great pre Xmas fare! See you at the game!

The Weekend Ahead.....
Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th will be busy days for County supporters, and the Supporters Cooperative are up to the challenges the weekend offers, as County seek another 3 points against Altrincham.
Last Saturday the stock in the Cheadle End Cabin received a boost via some new shirts kindly donated by County fans , which enabled us to make a decent take at the till in support of the Guardian Account.
We are in the Cabin again from 1.30 until 2.30 before the game with Altrincham this Saturday coming, both to receive any further donations of memorabilia( shirts, hats, scarves etc), and of course to re-sell . The prices remain of the non rip-off variety namely £10 for shirts/ £5 tee shirts. Signed/ numbered shirts are £15.
Last Saturday we also started collecting donations in support of the Wellsprings `Rucksack Project' and although this week end sees our main push on this front, the response from County fans was magnificent.
Already we have received donations of 2 rucksacks with a selection of items inside , and donations of clothing and tinned foods which will be greatly appreciated when we are able to deliver them to the magnificent Stockport homeless charity!
A reminder then of what you can donate to the Wellspring....rucksack, hat/scarf/gloves, socks, flask, jumpers/ fleece, sleeping bag, tins of beans/ soup etc. If you can donate any of these items that would be brilliant!
After Saturday's game on the 17th, the Supporters Cooperative are staging their popular `Christmas Cavort' which this year is being held at the Spinning Top( near the Garrick Theatre on the A6). Entry is free and you will be able to enjoy a warm atmosphere....real ale, and there will be music and food later on, so ...with landlord Mike Swann again donating 10% of takings twixt 5 and 8 pm to the Guardian Account County fans are urged not to miss this one!
On to Sunday the 18th, and we will be in the Cabin again from 2.30 taking donations for the Wellspring Rucksack Project, ahead of the Stockport County Carol Concert which, again is free, and starts at 3pm in the Edgeley Park Conference Centre.
A great week- end ahead then, we look forward to meeting you.
Thank you for your support!

Remember.....Remember......those Dates in December !
Yes....that was how on 28 November we gave early warning of what was ahead this festive season. Well......the fun starts here ,as they say, and a bit of hard work and consideration too, as the busiest of weekends hits us... Saturday 17 December 2016 County play Altrincham looking for a double after the 3-2 victory at their place . They have a new manager installed ( when was it never thus?), but that double is on, the way JG has his team playing! So...get down to Edgeley Park and be sure not to miss that!
The Supporters Cooperative will be busy over the week-end.....
Appeal for Memorabilia- Shirts, hats, scarves etc in aid of the Guardian Account The Supporters Cooperative will be in the Cheadle End Cabin as usual, from 1.30 to 2.30, taking membership sign up's and renewals . Squads are limited to 7 players, and it will cost each player just £5 to take part, and already we are on schedule to reach or beat last year's 12 team total( 7 teams signed up 4 days ago). Registration is at 12 noon , and kick off 12.30, so get your team and individual entries in soon as you can to johngiles20@hotmail.com
