Cheers for the match reports, Fudgie & Macc.
@ Macc: Ignore my question on the County Life Article thread, I'm glad it went well, mate!

thank you gents. sounds a nice little do that macc.
gazz - i slept in until 1.30, then have not long since arisen from another kip that started about six o' clock. i'm clearly too delicate for afternoons at the football in the cold. henceforth in, i think i will just buy a season ticket as an ornament...

Thanks for the updates, team. The last 5 were pretty tense! Glad we hung on and really pleased for Ormson.

3 points - that's the important statistic from today - roll on Boston on Tuesday night (probably a much bigger challenge)

I'd like to add to Maccy's account of our after-match meeting with Lordy and the lads that they very kindly all signed an early birthday card for Sandy Jnr which I shall now keep safe for when he turns 4 in a few months.
And a special shout to Jordan Felgate who, having seen me sheeply ask Jacobs, Platt and Ormson to sign the card, kindly took it upon himself to rally the remainder of the squad in quick succession so that they all signed it. Theres even a personal note from Lordy himself.
That should ensure the young 'un keeps an interest in County a little while longer.
Oh, and we both managed to avoid any violent physical contact with a certain CEO....

Oh, and we both managed to avoid any violent physical contact with a certain CEO.... If you want something doing properly, you're better off doing it your bloody self! Seriously though, brilliant to hear the lads all signed the little man's card! Did any of you get any photos?

a win is a win. obvious comments abound but we did win and despite our inability to not play long ball in the second half we did manage to get the points. it shows the players are beginning to bond as a unit just like I said a while back about needing time to do just that. Next season we shall see a much tighter co-ordinated team on the pitch as this season will be the experience they needed.

Next season we shall see a much tighter co-ordinated team on the pitch as this season will be the experience they needed. Providing we stay in this division and can get the key players to stay with us, that is pretty much spot on.

i agree that this season will stand them in good stead for next - for all of them but particularly those we manage to hang on to out of dennis, turner, duxbury, lofthouse and churchman. for instance, after his blinding pre-season, there have been plenty of times i've thought dennis looks like a player taking a big step up from a lower level, but he has proven his finishing and i think the likes of him will be all the better from the experience of this season.
it really gives me hope that we can actually hold together the core of a squad from one season to the next, just supplementing it by bringing in a small number of additions who will make a positive difference and moving the lesser players down the running order or out of the club. that is how you're supposed to try and build between seasons, but we've been hitting the reset button too often. it has been far too long since we've had stability between seasons, and it's one of the things we've been crying out for on the pitch.

Did any of you get any photos? There was an official picture taken of us with Lordy, and we shall post that on Heaven once we have it from the Club. Dicko and Charnock were also kind enough to pose for snaps with Macc Junior, which pretty much made his day !

Am I genuinely the only one who didn't know that Fagbola was sent off?

You would have to admit to coming from Burnley to be able to count past ten, Fudge.
