well i suppose everyone gets a go at the caped crusader eventually if they keep making them... I'm not sure what to make of him getting the role, but what I will say is that I 100% didn't want Daniel Craig as 007 when they first announced it and thought Christian Bale was a ridiculous casting for Batman. However, now I'm dreading the day Craig hangs up his PPK and I thought Bale was brilliant as the Dark Knight, so those two castings have taught me to never jump the gun in future. I will reserve judgement until I've seen the movie.

I've just watched 'Le Mans ’66' starring Christian Bale and Matt Damon, a really good movie that doesn't really answer the questions surrounding the controversy of that race, but is a great watch nonetheless.

Went to see 'Venom: Let There Be Carnage' last night. A decent movie with an interesting little post-credits scene!
I enjoyed it much more than the shower of politically correct bullshit that was 'No Time To Die'. If I'd read the director's ridiculous comment beforehand, I wouldn't have bothered. He said that Sean Connery's James Bond was 'basically a rapist' - seriously?
I'm not even going to namecheck the tw##, but he and EON can f*** right off going forward, as the direction they will no doubt be taking with Bond will be snowflake as f***. As far as I'm concerned, 'Die Another Day' with Pierce Brosnan was the last James Bond movie, as the way 'No Time To Die' ended Daniel Craig's era has ultimately f***ed up the rest of his time as 007 for me, not to mention the director pissing all over my childhood hero (Connery) with his ridiculous comment.
Rant over? not by a long stretch. Some day I'll be able to post about the movie without worrying about spoiling it for others, but to any 007 fan reading this who has yet to see it - if you genuinely love Bond, then seriously don't bother.
My first words as the credits rolled up and I got up out of my seat were loud and clear, and will have been heard by many of those sat around me: "WHAT THE f*** HAVE THEY DONE?"
Make of that what you will.
Now, back to 'Venom: Let There Be Carnage' - if you liked the first movie, you'll really enjoy this one.

Just been to the cinema to watch 'Violent Night' with David (Stranger Things) Harbour as a badass Santa, taking out the trash in what can only be described as a Die Hard/Home Alone mash up, with plenty of Cornetto trilogy gore - and it works!
I really enjoyed it, as it's utterly bonkers and throws the traditional Christmas movie out of the 30th floor window of Nakatomi Plaza!
If the above description doesn't put you off, go see it!

A reminder to anyone watching The Great Escape that when Steve McQueen makes his escape leap on his motorbike, he is being played by a stuntman. But McQueen loved riding motorbikes, so he is actually playing one of the Nazis chasing himself.
Thanks to Richard Osman on Twitter

I recently watch Sisu on a flight.
What a fantastic film. It's set in Finland at the end of the second world war and is about a Finnish gold prospector up against the retreating scorched-earth nazis.
Not often I recommend films, but this was astonishing (I preferred it to John Wick 4, which I watched after, and Sisu is in that genre).

Thanks to Richard Osman on Twitter Bud Ekin was the stuntman and an accomplished racer and ISDT (International Six Days Trial rider )riding Triumphs. He also ran a Triumph dealership. McQueen was a also very capable motorcyclist and competed in the ISDT. All in the days of the British bikes being the best in the world.
