not forgetting the 'link' thats been built with Jevo and co... Interesting that, matey. I wonder if Phil really has been instrumental in any of the Everton lads coming here this season? It would make sense.

I would assume it's been a combination of having Neil Young and his Scousers only policy and the good relationship Jevo seems to have with the club in general but specifically, Alan Lord.

I went to see the Hateful Eight yesterday at the Savoy in Heaton Moor.
What a truly great film, whilst not in quite the usual Tarantino style it is certainly up there with one of his greats for storyline and cinematography.
Highly recommend it to anyone who likes Tarantino's films, I also recommend anyone in the Stockport area checks out the newly refurbished Savoy, really smart little cinema they've turned it into. Cheaper than normal cinemas and the food and drink is very reasonably priced!

Good luck to the Savoy, I can't stand this multiplex places, so the more of these old places still going, the better. Hats off to everyone involved in keeping it going.
Whoever was involved in the Davvy being flattened, they should be ashamed of themselves. That place was a PROPER cinema experience, and was a huge part of Stockport's heritage.

Just watched it again tonight, stunning movie. Can't wait for the sequel!

Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter’s Bill & Ted 3 ‘to be set in the UK’The Wyld Stallions next adventure will be set in the UK, according to reports.
The third installment of Bill & Ted will see Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter returning as the titular characters and apparently the film will have a ‘huge British feel’.
‘The script is already written for the third film and much of it is set in the UK,’ a source told the Sun. ‘The whole film is going to have a huge British feel.
‘They’ll time-travel through London and meet historical figures, meaning the Queen and Winston Churchill could get cameos.’
Alex confirmed the start date for the threequel while chatting to Forbes, and had a good response for a pretty obvious question about Keanu’s involvement.
‘How the f**k would we make it if he wasn’t on board? People always ask if Keanu’s doing it and I’m like, “No, I’m making a Bill movie”.’ Alex said.
‘Of course he’s in it. I can’t make a Bill and Ted movie without Keanu.’
Winters says they’ve been working on the film for six years with original Bill & Ted 1 and 2 writers Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon. He said: ‘We have a script, we have a director, we have a studio – we’re just trying to nail down a start date. It’s certainly been a long time coming… Hopefully we’ll be shooting it shortly.’Article linkNO WAYYYYY!........ ...WAYYYYY!

i can guess why alex winter is pleased it's happening. 25 years of nothing but being mistaken for robert englund probably got a bit annoying...

Finally got around to watching Deadpool after months of meaning to! It did not disappoint! Brilliant and hilarious, I also couldn't imagine anyone playing the role better than Ryan Reynolds as well!

well he's been trying to get it made for years hasn't he?
i'll definitely get it at some point. 'suicide squad' looks like it could be entertaining too.

He seems to be one of the least 'up himself' blokes in Hollywood, I think he's ace. That BT ad was good too, typical Ryan Reynolds humour.

saw 'rogue one' the other day, and although i'm a bit late with the hype, i would urge anybody who is historically a 'star wars' fan, such as sandy, to go and see it if you haven't already.
thought it was great, although did sag slightly in the middle. thought it was miles better than 'force awakens', and i enjoyed that... the main baddies are old school 'star wars', with clipped british accents. there are at-at's, at-st's, and, considering it ends literally ten minutes before 'a new hope' starts, loads of follow-on fan service, such as the two blokes jyn briefly bumps into in the crowded street (who will be turning up in a cantina elsewhere in a couple of weeks time).
there is one vader moment which reinforces why the rebels should be scared of him, and an ending that runs -brilliantly- right into the start of episode 4. the tone is quite dark, with none of the triumphalism of some of the films, and despite the series name, this is the first one which actually is a war film, with all the great cost for any gain that entails. when disney took the series, i would never have guessed that they would be allowing a film like this to be made, but am very glad of it.
